Max, you cant just call Ford and say, "I want XPlan please assign me a PIN".

Max2000jp, LMAO!!!!
Umm, yeh, and its attached to your SSN. As an employee of a partner for Ford, a supplier for Ford, etc, you are already in the database. My husband works for a partner for Ford, and he called the number, they ran his name, confirmed his SSN and gave him his PIN.
I guess I should have said, not EVERYONE can call Ford and say, "I want XPlan, please assign me a PIN." If you are not a friend, or a family member of a person who works for Ford or a Ford Partner you cant get it.
The assignment of the PIN being attached to your SSN has already been confirmed by the person who works Ford Credit, and is doleing out the PINs In the beginning of this thread.
Edit: Its really a moot point, since the 6 have already been assigned, and the person has already been confirmed as a Ford employee.

Hmm..
in Canada they only ask for the last 4 digits of the SIN (similar to SSN).
Either way, its great the members on the boards are giving out Xplans, to help the Mustang enthusiats out. That is great

Ok all, These are the X-plan rules.
Employees and Retirees must consider the following before sponsoring an X-Plan purchase.
It is in direct violation of the program rules to provide PINs to a dealership employee or to customers referred to the Sponsor by a dealership employee. In addition, accepting money or gifts in connection with providing someone a PIN is strictly prohibited. Violations of these rules will result in suspension of A/Z and X-Plan eligibility and may result in termination of employment with the Company.
Sponsors are responsible for managing their PIN allocation and making sure the customers they sponsor follow the rules. If a customer fails to follow the rules (including titling and length of ownership requirements), the Sponsor's Plan eligibility is at risk. Therefore, if Sponsors cannot answer all of the following questions, as indicated, it is advised that they do not sponsor the customer:
· Is the customer someone you feel you know and can trust? YES
· Is this customer a dealership employee? NO
· Did a dealership employee refer this customer to you? NO
· Are you receiving or being offered cash or gifts to sponsor this customer? NO
· Is this customer a government employee or official whose use of the Plan may be construed as influencing a public official? NO
· Is this customer considering purchasing a competitor's product? YES
You no longer need the whole social number just the last 4.
Once you get a pin, you can NOT give it to someone else.
You have to keep the car atleast 6 months.

A Ford employee can go to a web sight a get the pin. Here is what we are told to do.
If a friend or neighbor is the customer (X Plan)...
· Obtain an X Plan approval PIN for your friend or neighbor. You will need the correct spelling of the friend's name, the last four digits of his/her Social Security Number, address, telephone number, and email id (if available).
· Provide your friend with the PIN so that the dealer can determine eligibility.
· Please inform the friend that:
o The Plan privilege is for the friend's personal use only.
o The PIN must not, under any circumstances, be provided to any other person, except the dealer at the time of purchase or lease.
o Providing the PIN to any other person is a violation of the Plan's conditions.
· The friend must identify himself/herself as an eligible participant to the dealer and provide the dealer with the last four digits of his/her SSN and PIN for verification.
· Employee/Retiree/Surviving Spouse sponsors are responsible for how their Plan is used by others.
At one time we did need the whole SSN. I don't think 05stangGT realized it changed.
I hope this helps.

You need to be sure that your Dealer is accepting X-Plans first of all. Also, yes the plans will require a SSN. I will generate the pin number and provide it to you once I have collected the information. X plan's are for friends, neighbors, etc and I consider the first 6 people to reply my "forum friends". If it helps you purchase a Ford vehicle, then I am doing my part as a Ford employee.

My dad is still stubborn about giving out his X plans.
