I agree, If you really want a headlamp upgrade and think HIDs are snazzy, they're the best interim solution. I just feel that the Ford HIDs could be designed much better using aspherical projector optics rather than a lossy reflector design. The LEDs are supposed to be coming soon.

Yeah, I agree. I think they went with the reflector method for style (scientists predict 4 out of 5 responses to this comment will be "but that metal tongue is so ugly"). It still looks similar to the fogs and you still have a big giant round ball of light from the reflector when you look at it head-on.

Yeah, I think you'll be happy with them. I love them, I just love my fogs less now because they're yellow.

Good choice

I've played around with a few 08s day and night now, the factory hids are excellent. With the fogs deleted it would look very cool(not that there's anything wrong with them). I hadn't noticed before, but the 08's fog bulbs seem to be blue-coated, possibly to 'whiten' them up a bit??? I don't remember my 07's being like that.

are these the LED's we are talking about? (AM Rapide)

Those look different than what is on the Lexus and R8, these just look like simple HID's.

I was hoping to be be working on it by now. But it's still on a railcar waiting to be unloaded! Errr!

Next week I guess?

bah don't worry about it, in no time you'll forget all about the waiting nor feel any regrets making the payments...

And as far as LED's go, I can't decide which is more stupid, waiting for them to be available, or how ridiculous they would look on a Mustang Who gives a **** about LED headlights, HID's are more then adequate, look great, and can be had for under $200 or as a $500 option. People try so hard sometimes to figure out a way to fix something that isn't broken, that or are just never happy with anything.

Thanks Kevin, but the waiting is hard to do!

I noticed on my DORA that my priority was set at 40. Do you think this would have made a few days difference in the delivery date?

This is the second Mustang I've bought from the same guy, but the Delaership is so big that they have a different company actually placing the order with Ford. Not good!

Wow, that's quite a read, but you mean this?

So the big thing I want everyone to know is don't get too worried if your not a priority 01 as this is very rare, also don't worry if your not at priority 10, I start my retail ordes at 20 so I've got some room if something comes up that I need to prioritize under my current orders I can.

So, I guess it doesn't really matter? Well, I feel a little bit better. Thanks for the info.....

I wouldn't worry about it. I always do retail orders at 10, but most stock units are like 85 or something like that. I can't imagine being SOOO busy that someone can't spend the 5.5 minutes typing it in when you're sitting there

Saleen HIDs with Silverstars. The Silverstars suck and don't even come CLOSE to matching the HID bulbs. Don't bother.

Here are the Saleen HIDs with foglight HIDs. Unfortunately my headlights are 4300k and my foglights are 6000k, so they don't match! I think I will eventually change out the Saleen capsules to the 6000k color so that all lights will match.

Quick Reply: Would HID lights look good on a GT?
