Wonder if there will be more 06's built than 05's?

05 Mustangs were built for 45 weeks.

However, for the first 4 to 6 weeks of production, volume was below capacity as the kinks of building the 05s were worked out and there were parts shortages, so effectively there were ~43 weeks of full production.

The 06 model year Stangs will be built for 49 weeks.

Other than new colors and trim options there are NO changes in the 06s, so production will start at full capacity.

But, if Mustang sales drop, overtime will be cut and production will be lower. Don't know what the situation is where you are, but around me, 05 V6 Mustangs are stacking up on dealer lots like cord wood in November. GTs are still very scarce.

I am also anxious to hear what the 05 production tally was - Brad??

We are very low on Mustang as are all the dealers in our zone. At the dealer meetings a few months back, Ford said they were planning to increase production by 40%.

40%? Wow! I didn't think the Flat Rock plant could increase output that much. Isn't it running 24/7 now???
