WMS Stealth hood pins
WMS Stealth hood pins
Anyone here have the WMS stealth hood pins?
http://www.wmsracing.com/wmsweb/hoodpins.html

got a couple more questions:
Anyone mount them on fiberglass? Like a CS-6 hood?
What are your general impressions of it?
What's the minimum clearance needed between the radiator support and the bottom side of the hood? I've measured mine to be 18mm.
In case you were wondering how I did that (I figure since the hood bumper is springy, it couldn't be trusted):
1. remove a hood bumper
2. take a wad of clay, put it between two sheets of paper and place it on the location of the hood bumper. The paper keeps the clay from sticking to either side.
3. close the hood. the clay flattens out to the size of the gap between the hood and rad support. Measure it.

WMS does tend to think out of the box a bit- their intake setup especially seems like anything but a typical cai... those stealth pins are cool, I'd just worry about a cable breaking- the way they look I dont see a way to release them?
most factory hood latches can be gotten around if a cable breaks by disassembling the grille and unbolting the catch, or pulling the cable lever- with everything internal and the close fit, I just cant picture any way to release it one breaks?
