The vert isn't doing much for me, glad I decided on the coupe, I think the roof really gives the '05 a lot of its character.
I have to agree ,as much as I wanted the wind in my hair ,the car loses something in the vert. It 's that line around the back window.

Glad I ordered the coupe.
It does look better with the top down (that redfire with the bullitts), but my brain STILL keeps saying 'Where's the Fastback?"

It took me awhile to decide on coupe or vert, I'm glad I went w/ coupe.
@ first the coupe's rear quarter window was a deal breaker vs. the C6's headlamps... Didn't really need another convertible since I had 2 Jeeps, but the vert was the way to avoid that rear quarter window. Then over time, the window grew on me... might have been the prospects of louvers that nailed it for me .

i happend to like the vert! all you guys say it loses something when i see it different! yes the coupe is very similar to the old fastbacks but if you look at the middle pic at top you see that the roof line on the vert resembles that oc the old coupe, which i think looks really good! not only that but it looks amazing with the top down!!!

I think the black top looks great with the black mirrors....make them look less out of place.
As for how it looks....I think it looks great! When the z ragtop came out I was so dissapointed with how it looked top up since the tiny top created this huge, stupid looking rear end. But this mustang's top...it's perfect for a convertible top...how could it be better?!

The '05 ragtop doesn't look as good with the top up, but it's a homerun with the top down.

Hey Brad:
One of the cues that makes the 05 so awesome is the rear quarter window IMO... truly reminiscent of the 67/68 Fastback, my favorite vintage Tang. That's why I'm not crazy about the Vert.
However I agree with you that the Vert looks a lot better with the top down.
