I wonder what an aftermarket exhaust (ie. Borla) will gain as far as rwhp?? (just muffler or cat-back) The piping is already mandrel bent so any gains will be from the muffler (might not need to replace the piping)

I'm sure it will be smaller than current stangs. Any guesses?
In stock form, I think the gains from aftermarket cat-backs will be very very minimal on the '05 as compared to earlier models. High flow cats or off-road pipes would be a better investment.

Not sure yet... I guess it will depend on my pricing for parts through my suppliers...

K&N @ min.(flat panel or FIPK after 15k Mi), Borla muflers?!? -Depends on how happy I'm w/ the sound... AVS(AutoVentShade) for louvers?!?

The trouble is that most of my suppliers are geared toward Trucks & SUVs

I think I'm gonna go with headers, cat-back exhaust, cold air intake, and underdrive pulleys. I tallied that all up and going by steeda's price quotes for last year's model it will be around $1,679 and add about $200 for tint. That's all initially. By the way, I finally got my vin and build date!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What???

What is driving those blowers on that stang, Script?

My first mod will be a search engine, so people who get in for the first time don't keep asking the same questions about the car over and over again.
They aren't blowers. Twin turbo baby They sure are perty, they come at a price though.

If you want more info These are the guys to go to

If they make a set up like this for the 05, im sold.

First thing will be the intake cover, from when Ford was playing with our emotions.
Chrome Cover 4 the engine

V6, IUP, sonic blue, black leather: Colorkeyed Headlights and Mirrors, Grille with Corral, chrome frame and bars, the "shelby stile" 16" rims in 18"

side stripes are optional sport package on V6 (correct me if I'm wrong)
and there is a rear spoiler delete option on the order form as well...
am I missing something here?

Of course, Intake (K&N, etc.), Exhaust (Magnaflow, Bassani), Headers (when they become available). The most important, lowering springs with 18" wheels. That's it for the basics.

Us Canadians kinda got jipped when it comes to options

The V6's come with the sport package standard = stripes & wing

and there is no spoiler delete on the GT, which is a nuisance to me :bang: because even the V6's will have spoilers, which means no trunk swap unless I drive down to the US or weld up my new trunk or pay for a new decklid.

I'm torn to either give my GT the works or just keep it semi-stock until the Cobra comes out....but if I decide to mod it up, I will be doing wheels, suspension, exhaust, bolt ons and then a pro-charger (research on what RWHPR GT motor can handle). I've tentatively heard it will be able to hold 450 RWHPR, but that is based on other 4.6 without forged internals.

Thats basically my plan as well. I would also like to do Koni shocks and Steeda Sways when they come available. Rims and tires will probably be my first mod. I plan on putting the widest tires all around, preferably Kuhmo MX's.

Just small stuff for me. Tint the windows, maybe K&N air filter and the intake cover if it's ever available.

I have already cut the vinyl stripes for the top of the car but I need to figure out the side stripes size near the lower rocker panel. Tint windows, rims, exhaust, hood, etc, etc (ooooooh Eleanor ) are other things I will do by the spring.

I know what you mean. I wish there was a spoiler delete option for us Canucks. Looking at Cervinis Eleanor kit that may be sweet. I just can't see that ducktail covering the original mounting holes so I will need to go to the US to find a new deck lid :bang:
