Thumbs up

Okay, so we all know about the common problems.

Difficult to fill up fuel tank at the pump.
CD player has trouble reading CDs
Whining/howling sound coming from rear diff.
Brake issues?

I'm sure that Ford is aware of these problems by now. Do you guys think that Ford has already made changes to fix the problems for the new cars they're assembling?

Or maybe Ford only changes their assembly routine at specified intervals. Job 1, Job 2, new MY, etc.?

So my real question is, when do you think the problems will be fixed? Maybe they've already been fixed?

I haven't had a single issue with what you mention. I have about 4600 miles right now, and no issues. I love it!

I have the howling tranny, and it's getting worse. Weird thing is at 70 MPH, it's gone. From 45-60, it's very loud. I'll put it in the shop when the 1st oil comes due.

I have all those problems with mine except brakes, and I only have 1,500 miles.

Don't let it scare you...
Although there are concerns and things to watch out for.
how many owners really out there have ZERO problems.
Remember, on a board, you'll only hear about the problems, not the 'ok' ones. (well HERe you might )

It depends on how easy the problem is to fix. If its a simple fix, they have probably done it already. The CD problem is really out of their hands, Ford doesn't make stereos.

I would imagine Ford will address any quality issues it finds with suppliers as they come up, or at least they should. However, I don't think their track record is the best. It is almost impossible to believe they didn't know about the fueling issue. I think they glossed over it to meet production deadlines. I also don't think it is going to be an easy fix after the car is built.

Man, 4600 miles in 1 month? You drive like me. My 05 is replacing the 76 Lincoln as my daily driver (gas is just too expensive to run a 460 any more) so it's nice to see that someone is racking up the miles and hasn't had problems. I will be putting anywhere from 100-250 miles a day on her so she better not act up!
