Anyone worried that the gts they got that weren't held have a defect? I am kind of glad they held mne I know it has been checked again and whatever was wrong is fixed.

No idea.
I'd rather not speculate with rumour.
If its held for quality, or just because of shipping...
Don't worry
You'll get them

IF in fact it was because of a problem, the reason they held it was to fix that problem. So no worries.

Steve(19970) is correct...it will be fine when you get it. That's the bright side.

You know the story that starts I have a friend of a friend whose third cousins mail man's neighbor works for....... My cousin's wife is a secretary at a Ford dealership is PA. They received the invoice for their first '05 Mustang 2 weeks ago and expected the car any day. Their dealership was told that the mustangs are tangled up in a shipping legal dispute. Ford initially used non-union car carrier companies, and the union as filed suit against Ford, thereby many mustangs are being held prisoner until the legal dispute is resolved. I apologize if this info is bogus, but maybe someone out there has the facts, and either confirm or deny this possible explanation of why my mustang has been shipped to convey since the week of sept 13th and nobody knows where my car is.

Let me be the first to say that if that's true, then that's ridiculous. If my car is being held because Ford is being sued over something, then .... wow, just wow.

that's why the dealerships "vehicle status" report is almost worthless.
the report says Produced week of 9/6, shipped to convey week of 9/13,and delivery tbd. I know they weren't o.k.ed to ship until Oct-that's why the "vehicle status" report is give enough detail.

I wouldn't worry. There are over 1200 new parts on this 05 Mustang. Some parts are made up of several sub components that come from tier 2 and tier 3 suppliers. Typically on a launch, someone in the supply chain will have a problem or hiccup trying to get up to full production line volume. If Ford fines an issue, the first thing they do is try to contain the population of affected cars. Then they go back and fix (retrofit with known good parts) these cars before they are shipped.

If your car got delayed, it probably is getting fixed which is a good thing.

If your car didn't get delayed, it probably wasn't affected which is also a good thing.
