I believe the new 05's are gonna flow pretty well straight from the factory because:
- The exhaust manifolds are already in a shorty header style
- There is one cat per side (total 2)
This means I'll be happy to pick an aftermarket muffler and not go to the expense of changing out the entire exhaust.

it voids ur warrenty if u put it on. but if the ford mechanics do it then it dont void the warrenty soo pretty much they will charge an arm for it still. and im changing my exhaust down the road when i see them come out with some. im lookin to put bbk longtube headers, mac offroad H, and probably magnaflow cat-backs. its gonna cost me alot

I've had Flowmasters, Magnaflows, and Borla system. I'm most pleased with the Borla setup. I'm interested in the Bassani (sp?) system though. Does anyone have first hand experience with Borla vs. Bassani systems? Fortunately, they stopped the emissions testing down here. I've always punched my cats anyways. I probably will not do a thing to this car until I have heard and seen my options. From what everyone has stated on here, the car runs and sounds great. The initial changes would only be functional that will not void my warranty. I used to have an old Jeep and would rush out to buy something new only to be upset by new options that were much better. I must be patient!

By the time I get mine, hopefully Bassani will have some stuff for the '05 like mid-lengths, x-pipe w/ their new cats, and then we'll see how ith sounds. I'll never get flowmasters 'cause I hate the sound of them, Spintech is basically the same but w/ a better sound

I am planning on replacing mine. I have a '68 Mustang with a 302 that has around 325 horses. I'm running dual flowmasters right now and it sounds awesome. So I'm leaning towards putting flowmasters on my new '05 once it comes in.

Since exhaust/mufflers are usually for sound, I would wait until you hear it. The stock sound is incredible! I would start to mod other areas of the car first (springs/shocks are first on my list).
