YOU SAID IT MY MAN!
Its definitely a good icebreaker. Who knows, for those of us single fellas out there, we might even meet our wives or gf's courtesy of the 05. Not all women are that shallow, and if they are.....then at least it was worth the ride. haha.

Lighten up, all you critics! Nothing wrong with a good icebreaker, nothing wrong with some girls looking for a bad boy, and bad boys DO drive Mustangs.
My wife has definitely picked up on my enthusiasm for life since I got this car.

If he looked like a nice enough guy, you bet your booty I would wink, mouth "Can I have a ride?"

I say we put the "***** are cool" vs. "Think about your life, boy!" debate on hold until we can get a confirmed kill.... I mean.... score.

Not sure if anyone’s noticed, but does it seem like the younger folks are going all nuts over this car?
I’ve had more ‘kids’ – maybe HS or college age asking questions about the car, honking, yelling compliments on the road & circling it in parking lots than older folks.
And I’ve had one car load of girls hanging out their car waving and yelling about my ‘sweet’ car so far…
I’m old enough to remember the 60’s muscle cars…not old enough back then to drive ‘em… but maybe these younger folks are so used to seeing cars that look like melted plastic that they are really taking to a car that finally has some American styling?
Ford has really hit the mark with this car… and maybe Ford has opened the door to getting rid of all these ricer crap-mobiles the younger generation seems to like.

If I need a car to pick up a 'chick', then she isn't worth much more than an evening......and since I'm past that stage of my life, she wouldn't be worth anything at all. 'Nuff said

I'm a veteran of the bar scene and have carefully observed both success and failures.
It's my observation that your looks (so long as your're not dirt ugly) has little to do with your success rate.
Charisma, charm, humor, and personality will make up for less than stellar looks and your car is not even a factor. You gotta get the chick interested before she gets into your car right ? In fact, your income is barely a factor so long as you don't look like a bum initially.
Now your income will become a factor later
However, your car is barely a factor in scoring. There are men with Pintos/Yugos that get more poon than you can shake a stick at.

How does a 17 year old make enough money to afford a Mustang GT and pay insurance?
When I was 17 I didn't have a car of my own - I borrowed my parents.
I didn't actually own a car until about 19 and it was a pre-abused '79 Honda Civic.

This guy here saved his money not getting Mommy and Daddy to pay for it so I guess he deserves it. I just hope these kids respect their cars, take care of these new Mustangs, appreciate the history and the following that the Mustang gets.
I also hope they don't do anything stupid and crash them in a ditch. 300 plus horse is a lot for a teenager to handle.

The insurance on a Mustang GT for a 17 year old has to be astronomical - I pay $2500/year and I'm 37. I don't even want to think what a 17 year old would pay.
I'm assuming the 17 year old financed it.

Were I not happily married, I would have had more fun in this car then any other....LOL Every female from college age to soccer moms have chatted me up and blown kisses etc....it's insane but I guess the car is a great start to catching the eyes of the ladies out there....No different then wearing a nice suit I guess....You just can't do 150mph in the nice suit.....
