Who has the oldest order and still does NOT have their Mustang?

Mine is finally scheduled for build on week of 09/11.

 

Wow, that really sucks...May 1 and you still do not have your Mustang....I ordered July 26 and have no information, not even an order number....That will change tomorrow as I have requested my vehicle order confirmation sheet....When I mentioned DORA, my dealer stated he has never herd of that. I am in Alberta, Canada....

Why is your order taking so long? I usually see between 6 to 10 weeks here on this site. A few get theirs sooner and some like you much later...What is going on? Are you tracking your order? Keep us updated...

 

Cochise is your dealer small with a small allocation or what is the deal

 

Cochise, I am sorry to hear your order is taking so long. I went into my dealer the last week of May and placed my order. Upon returning form vacation on August 5th, my car was sitting on the lot waiting for me. My dealer is pretty good sized (McCafferty, Langhorne) and my order was put in as a priority 10.

I hope you get it soon.

Yeah, small dealer = small allocation = low priority.

My brother-in-law is a Chevy sales mgr and knows the owner of the Ford dealer I am going through. They're selling it to me for $500 over invoice, which I was happy with but in hindsight if I paid more from a bigger dealer I'd probably have it by now. Oh well.

This is the first car I ever ordered. Normally, I'd go to the dealer lot(s), look around, and take one off the lot. This one I wanted to custom order obviously. Since I am new to this ordering thing, I made the mistake of ordering from a small dealer and now have to wait. Initially, I read online that the '07s weren't going to be out until July anyway. Dealer told me that his Ford rep said I'd have it by the end of July or early August. I figured waiting 3 to 5 weeks wouldn't be that bad since they won't be out until July anyway. When early July rolled around it became end of August or early Sept. Dealer called Ford rep week of Aug. 14th and asked what's going on. Rep said she would push order through since it was so old. Now I at least have a build date of Sept. 11th.

BTW, I was a priority code 10 too. As far as I'm concerned that code doesn't mean too much.

 

I placed my order on July 5th, a small dealer also. As of last Friday, I am clean and unscheduled so I feel your pain!

 

I ordered a GT convertible standard from a small Canadian dealer on June 30th. I am now scheduled for build the week of September 4th. Woohoo!

ETA to dealer the week of Sept. 23rd.

These will be the longest 3 to 4 weeks of my life. But I've waited 4 months so what's a couple more weeks. Almost there!!!

 

I got scheduled for build the week of Sept. 18th, no ETA to dealer but based on your info I guess it is Sept. 30th? Sound more like Oct 2nd. Anyways, it is good to get scheduled.

Picked mine up yesterday, Sept 7th. Loving it. its so hard to baby it during break-in.. the gas pedal is just so tempting... but ya gotta do what ya gotta do..

 

Did they build it the week of Aug. 28th? If so, that was pretty quick delivery. Congrats!!!

I thought I was going to be allocated yesterday (Thursday) since my dealer said I was next to be ordered....Well, I guess I will see if I make it next Thursday...

yeah, built somewhere btwn aug 28th and aug 31st. already have 300 miles on her since thursday, driving her is very addicting. lol.
