Oh, I agree... but identical to the 06, same car, same payment(extended a few years), so dont really notice a difference with it sitting there...the 06 wont last forever, and the prices on the 09's will never be seen again...
best prices ever on my alltime favorite car? just couldnt let it slip by. if the 06 outlasts me, the wife and kids will have a pretty nice mustang to auction off...well my personal favorite model anyway
I drive the 06 every chance I get(and the wife takes hers out too when weather cooperates), hoping to get a few days of warmer temps/some rain to clean the salt off the roads soon to put some more miles on them...going thru withdrawl bad Walking past them to get in the rusty 98 windstar and go trudging thru the snow everyday makes the drive to work no longer a high point of the day... but fortunately still got a wintercar, boring as it may be it keeps the mustangs out of the salt.

I have 30,000 on my 05 purchased in May of 05, but Shatter has about 2000 miles on his 07. He gives me crap about the amount of mods that i have but mods per mile he has me beat hands down! LOL~

no 'win' here on that one... no miles = no fun.
and the 'someday' it hits the road will be bittersweet, as it will mean either the 06 is no longer with us, or one of the kids talked us out of it...

someone said they had >90k already- now THAT is a lot of fun

Purchased our 2007 GT in July of 2007. It now has 8,823 miles on the odometer. I have had her out of the garage once in the past 6 weeks due to the snow. I let her run for about 20 minutes before tucking her back into the garage. I am SO tired of winter here in Kansas.

Looks as if we do have a winner! I guess that point-two miles was unavoidable but high quality ...

I got my 09 in September 08, it now has a little more than 7,000 miles on it.

Got the 08 in April 09, it has a bit more than 5,000 on it.

Each of them has made the round trip to Terlingua and back; without those it would be about 4,000 on the 09, 2,500 on the 08.

Each of them is such a satisfying vehicle in its way, I have to do a twenty or thirty-mile loop before going to the store. And every other week, at least, I do a 150-mile plus loop through the back country and mountains east and north of San Diego. Pure joy.

On the road again ...

man I'd love to take ours up US1...took a trip out there in '90, the area up north of Malibu by Pepperdyne university and especially the canyon areas behind it were the most memorable roads Ive ever been on...even in a POS rental car...would be perfect for the mustang

theres some really great roads in colorado for driving too...someday still hope to take a long trip in the mustang(s). I did 6000 miles in 10 days in our old camaro back in 91...Ohio-colorado-grand canyon AZ-vegas-cali(didnt make to the coast though)-tuscon AZ- mexico (never again)-NM-Colorado-back to ohio...had couple weeks vacation, just hopped in the car and headed west, no plan, no schedule, someplace different every day was one of the best vacations I ever had- but yes, I like driving...someday (maybe when kids are old enough to drive too) *hope* to be able to caravan out west in the Mustangs...at a minimum do the route 66 thing, but from there would love to head north as far as possible and head home on a northern route...

to date, the best road I was on in the mustang was a then brand new stretch of turnpike outside Somerset Pa...only lasted a few minutes, but I'll never forget it...velvet smooth, fresh painted, zero traffic, winding thru the hills late at night...even with the deer risk, think I mighta been exceeding the speed limit just a tad that night the road looked like they coulda ran indy cars on it...in the daytime theres some neat mountain passes down there to take in also.

2008 GT/CS with 1600 miles, built Jan of 08, took delivery Sept. 08. Up until last month I had around 800 miles on it, but finally got enough free time to go on a little road trip with it to visit family - and I enjoyed every single mile I put on it too.

I loved driving through Malibu and Topanga canyons.
At least back then I was driving a Toyota Cressida.

Truthfully, I'm torn between driving and not driving it. Not driving it keeps it in great condition, but I get "no satisfaction". If I need to sell it in 5 years, someone else gets the deal.

It's a mixed bag for sure.

'07 Delivered Jan. 12th 2007. 26566 miles. I TRIED not to drive it much, which was easy the first year, as I kept it at my Tahoe house during the summer and it was only driven occasionally. But the Tahoe house is gone now, and it's SO much fun to drive, I drive it **** near daily now, and it's my 3rd vehicle!
