Ya, mine does the same thing. Once in a while it goes all the way down and I hear a thump.

Big time with the window thump...was just driving home and put my passenger side and thump I could not see the window at all ..Put my drivers window down and a 1/8" sits over the felt( I have mole hair ) but I've had it on my drivers window too..I put the pass window up again then down and same thing..I'm in the process of installing an amp and subs so I've had a lot of panels off and I'm checking everything!! I have already found loose bolts and wire clamps. Have to say that overall its very good nice snap pins for the panels very clean too. Let us know what they say..Thanks

I had a usually reliable dealer install the felt, and re applied new tint. Now, the glue holding the tint down has melted and streaked the windows, as well as the scratching has returned. RRRRRRR
The Tint is Llumar stealth tint.

Mine's scratching too. I never did the felt.
Gonna take it to the dealer some day soon. Service manager said the rollers for the window is the culprit.

Has anybody had a dealer commit to fixing this so it won't scratch? I am going to have to have my tint redone on the passenger side window due to the scratching. It is even starting to pull the tint up on the edge.

I then went back to the tint shop and they said it is a mechanism inside the door doing it and that the dealer was lying.
The tint shop said they dont install felt.I really don't know what to do now
HELP!!

Went to the dealer today (er...acutally, Monday) and they said that Ford does know about the problem with the runners (the window thingy that's scratching the tint). The service guy said thay Ford has told dealers to not install aftermarket tint until they get a fix. (um...I dunno..give us a runner with felt?). He suggest that I hang tight until Ford has a solution, get it fixed, then get my tint redone.
So...according to the dealer, Ford knows about the issue and is working on it.

My driver's side window has several scratches all the way up the window since it gets rolled down alot. My passenger side only has scratches on the bottom inch of the window from the short drop feature since it is not rolled down nearly as often. I have not tried talking to the dealer about it yet, though.

Hey ghost, I wrote a letter to the owner of the dealership complaining about this and they ended up special ordering the felt strips from outside vendor and installed them for free.I got my tint else where,so I'm gonna eat the cost of 1 window

Do you have the name of the vendor and possibly a part number? I'd like to try the same thing, then.

I complained about mine, they replaced it with a factory liner and it scratched the tint as well. Guess I won't bother doing anything about it until FORD comes out with a different replacement part.
