At what miles on the odometer did you give in? Do have V-6 or GT? Only have 146 miles and been up to 4000RPM 1st gear and upto 85MPH on freeway. Thinking of building up to WOT over the next 150-250 miles.

I admit I've "bounced" off the limiter a few times already. I've got about 400 miles on it.

Wide Open Throttle (WOT) can occur at 1000rpm.

So are you asking who redlined it?

I've done both. With under 100 miles on it.

I don't see what's wrong with a little WOT! Breaking in the engine easy isn't the best way to do it anymore. Its actually better to drive it a little harder at first.

Put 200mi on my Stang for the first day with it. (Do about 40k a year)

The car cruses so easy at 80. Pull out to pass slower cars & car hits a 100 in no time & feels like 50.

Ford has done a great job making the Stang a real GT.
The car is so smooth & fast I have a feeling it is going to catch a lot of people out who don't have much experience with higher speeds.

Be careful, the car is a missile. But you'll love it.

read the manual. it says not to maintain a steady speed. it also says drive like you will normally drive it.

i've already gone darn near 6K. just do it. don't be scared.

What are you waiting for, already? I ordered one for a customer (late 40's) and he banged the rev limiter on the first test drive. There's no reason to wait anymore.

I hit the limiter once too. I was a little embarrased, but glad it was there. I hit it so quick in 1st it was hard to feel it stop pulling. Now I just make sure to watch the tach in 1st.

The first time I did that, I was like Oh shenanigans (well I didn't say shenanigans but...) Since, I've bounced off about 2 other times. I'm at about 350 miles already. Man this pony has BALLZZZ!

B) 58 miles and 0-100.... Pulling all the way. Other than that taking it kind of easy for the first 500 mile oil change.
