as of Oct 5th your vehicle has been released by the foreign assembly plant, ETA week of OCT 8th! <-- Saturday? That would be sweet, but no way.

 

ERL, K-man on Blue Oval and even a call from the dealer! Shadowfax was built 5 Oct and is awaiting shipping! Next week at this time, I should have her in my possession!!!!

Thanks BuzzyStang05. It was sure a long scary road for me, a month after I ordered my pony, I found out that my dealer didn’t even send in my order. But lucky my dealer was pretty quick of correcting their mistake and got me serialized the next day. Well, I see that you have been waited a lot longer than I did, so I can’t really complain. Hope you get yours soon.

 

Ok, they let me take it til 5pm!!!!! not even prepped with 1.6 miles on it!!!!

What does "locked in mean? I am new to this so PLEASE bear with me....The ERL said my vista blue GT was scheduled to be built week of 10/3. what does that mean if I called today ?!?!?!?! it's the 8th! Anyway the ETA is supposed to be the week of 10/23...Does this mean my car wasn't built yet?

 

Locked means your car is locked-in for production for the week of Oct. 3. Your car could be buit today or tomorrow. My car was locked-in for production for the week of Oct. 3 and built on Oct. 5.

Hang-in there! It will be born today or tomorrow.

That was really hard to give em the car back. I dont know what im going to do now until monday, that was such a BIG Tease!!

3 days from production day to dealer, I am very impressed, and lucky!

I dont think he was going to call me to say it was in, I called him to say it was close, and dont be drillin no holes! And he goes, I think its here already. And asked me for my last 4 of VIN because manager was out and his desk locked up so he couldnt get vin. And it was mine!

Did you get to take it home today? Mine's supposed to be built on Monday, the 10th (Build Week of Oct 3). I'm a little closer to Flat Rock than you - hoping I can have it for a Cedar Point trip on the 16th.

 

LOL, yeah had some fun over there, you read kzinit's post tonight? got me crackin up again.
I guess Ill just have to convince the G/F to trade in her 05 focus for a Mustang so I can keep entertaining over there.

I took it home for pics and put about 20 miles on her, but she needed to be back at the dealer. It wasnt stocked in yet, or prepped, and the new car manager was off today. I felt lucky enough to do what I got to do with it already!
Now what to do for the next 36 hours!

Dont be so sure on delivery time, a fellow stanger lives 30 miles from plant, and It took 8 days! I live 4 hours and it took 3 days. Its a matter of the car being at the right place at the right time, I think.

Hey guys. I have the same build week of 10/3.....the ERL hasn't updated since 10/8. I called the VOPC and actually spoke with a live person. She said the factory is having an "issue" with gt convertibles. She didn't say exactly what it was, but she said the gt convertibles that were schedule for week of 10/3 some were put aside until 10/8....on 10/8 she said my unit was "bucked" )i think thats what she said. Bucked supposedly means that the vehicle was out into production on the line.

I just wanted to leave this info on here if anyone else is waiting for a gt convertible this week....by the way, mine's vista blue

 

A few of us locked in for the latter portion of the build week of 10/3 got pushed out, coupes and convertibles. I don't know what happened, exactly.

 

yeah....this sucks.....and I also read the ERL only updates on Thursdays....Is that true also?
