My Redfire baby came off the truck this morning...will do the deal this afternoon, assuming no surprises from the dealer she'll be home in her new stable this evening!!! Will post pics if I can separate my hands from the death grip on the new steering wheel when I get home.

 

I was totally surprised to hear ERL tell me this morning my car has been shipped via rail carrier since May 11th. She's been saying ship via convoy carrier since May 9th. My dealer said it's shipped via truck only. What is going on?? C'mon already....Detroit is only 500 miles away!

 

(groupset) went to Oklahoma City yesterday and took pictures of both of our cars sitting in the yard after being offloaded from the train!!!!!! GOOD GOOD news is mine is just the way I ordered it! Was very nervous! Truck carrier should pick them both up in the begining of the week and drive them to Tulsa........so close yet not here yet! :bang:

 

Well I am leaving right now to go pick mine up. It seems like I have been waiting for ever. This past week has been the longest week in quite some time. I have ordered the Street Scene Louvers and will get the windows tinted this afternoon 35% sides and 5% 1/4s and back window. What mods has everyone else already done? Will post pics ASAP.

 

I got a pm from Groupset this morning telling me about the railyard experience. He even got to sit in his!! Way cool!!! I know what you mean about being nervous that it won't be exactly what you ordered....that's how I feel.

Don't forget to post pics when you get it! I think we'll get ours very close to the same day. I believe it's day 160 for me......I'd have to look at the calendar to be sure. I am SO ready for it to get here!!

grats to all that was fortunate enough to get theirs... Mine arrived over the weekend, and I went to pick it up last night... unfortunately for me it was built wrong... sooo... more waiting for me... =*(

well, when i went in to order the car I emphatically told them SPOILER DELETE... because i have this strange hatred for them on this car... it was written down, but not ordered that way... it came with everything else i ordered, except it had a spoiler... and they said they could do nothing about it since they had no other black vehicles...

so I either took it with a spoiler or not at all.. and I chose not at all... well.. thats not true, I ordered an '06... but, its still heartbreaking anyway...

but its ok... I can now get the 18's I wanted and maybe change to the Titanium (or is it Tungsten?).. and my wife and i can fix up the house like we wanted since i paid off my Explorer...

 

I thought you meant a huge screw up. Not to flame you, but it sounds like maybe you changed your mind about really wanting the car. Taking the spoiler off shouldn't be a deal breaker. Anyway, like you said....now you can get an '06!

 

oh no no.. I didnt change my mind at all... I strongly... STRONGLY dislikes spoilers.. had it have been the wrong color or wheels.. it wouldnt have been an issue... the spoiler was a deal breaker, for me.. cause in my mind, my dreamcar does not have a spoiler =)

 

Also not to flame you, but welding up the holes and painting the decklid would have cost you 300 bucks by a competant body shop, now you will have to wait, pay all the price increases...plus who knows what the options will be or NOT be....and to boot, you miss a whole summer of driving :scratch:

Wow, I would've not given up the car, I would've told the dealer to run with the body shop bill, since you specified, but to give up the car all together for a spoiler? that's ridiculous... how long did you wait for it? how long are you gonna have to wait now? doesn't make any sense in my mind...

 

It would have been great to have that as an option..

the reason they would not fill the holes from the spoiler and paint was that according the the service/repair guy they can not accurately duplicate a black factory paint... those are his words.. not mine...

my 2 options as explained by the sales manager were that a. I take the car home with a spoiler... or b. not take the car home at all...
