Ordered the GT Legend Lime Green with all the options. I ordered the day after order banks were open, received a vin roughly 2 weeks later. I acutally got a call from my dealer today with a production date of September 20th (or week of). He figured I'll see it within 3-4 weeks of that date (S. FL). All the speculation here is interesting. Besides any differences in the different regions, it's neat to see who has solid information compared to speculation. You find yourself paying attention to certain posts and filtering out others. This, by far, is still the best forum I've seen, among other vehicles as well.

Hey 169stang, Way to go! you are the first one I have seen order the Legend Lime.
I almost did too, but had reservations. Mine is the Redfire I hope I don't regret it! Lime will be one of the coolest looking 05 colors.

although, I ordered the Bulitt? wheels. I just thought they looked better. I more than likely will put some sharper looking wheels on it a year down the road!

For some reason, my dealer put me off ordering until today.

Anyway, I'm going in tomorrow to place my order for a Mustang GT Premium. I think I'll go with Mineral Grey, Parchment interior.

Did anyone have any room for negotiation? Clue me in.

I told Sales I would only pay A-plan, absolutly no premiums. Reply, "I don't have a prices yet, but we will give the plan price." Just let it be known, you not going to pay markups. If the dealerships decides they want extras then they can keep it and I'll purchase when rebates are out.

169stang, I like louvers, chin spoilers, and stripes myself. The Lime might need a bit of dressing up like the one in the picture you posted. Heck they all are beautiful! My favorite Mustang has always been the 67. It had the original 65 look but with bolder lines, I thought. The rear tail lights being "concave" was what drew me to the 67 in the first place. I am going to look for an aftermarket kit to make the turn signals on mine sequential too. Anyone here know of such a kit available?

For the first time on Sunday I saw a blue 2005 Mustang in Ann Arbor without camo.
I saw a red 2005 Mustang Monday evening. That's two in one week. Some people don't have to order and wait.

Sorry about the quality of the photo, take my word for it, the middle set of tail lights are 2005 Mustang.

Re: Color

Both the Blue and the Red I have seen were simple, non-trendy and classic just like the car.

Medium blue with a tinge of Hawian.

Medium red, not too orange, not to bloody dark.

There have got to be color sheets at the dealer.

The point or my perception is that with a lack of chrome trim, do-dad's, and tacky tack-on's, and sticking to the primaries these cars look solid and classy.

Not quite the cleaness of an Audi, but quite a leap from the 2004, and yet an even larger leap over the last of our GM rival, may it rest in peace.

OK,

I talked to a Ford Dealer yesterday, and I wanted to pre-order a Mustang GT Premium, Redfire, all the toys.
He told me that the GT's wouldn't be available for another 6-8 months, and the only thing available until then are the V-6 Pony cars and convertibles.

Can anyone tell me what the truth of the matter is? He even went to the 'Inventory Manager' whoever that is and came back with the same answers. Something about the transmission having to be built to produce the 300 HP.

Is he blowing smoke? I'm calling a different dealer today, and I'm going to ask them if I can order one. Let you know what they say.

There's just no excuse for the dealers to act with this kind of "Ignorance" about their product......move on to the next one Vehicles are ready for ordering and in afew weeks those of us who have ordered will be DRIVING them !

I did just that.

I called a different dealer, and he said that he can order me one, although the mass production GT's won't be out for another 6 months. He said that since his dealership did a favor for Ford, they are able to order 5. So I'm in there with my $1000 deposit. YES!

Redfire GT Premium
Shaker 1000
Auto (I drive on the highway a lot)
Red Leather interior
Cast Rims

Pretty much the works, because I look at it this way, you only live once, so GO FOR IT!

I'm so happy now!!!
