It even snows inside in Chicago? Wow didn't you guys had it so rough.
And I'm complaining because it was in the low '40s last night. :bang:

I was born in Buffalo and am still here.
I haven't received my new pony yet BUT I remember the fun I had with my 78 MII Ghia in the snow. I was driving once did a perfect 180 in the lane of a relatively busy street after slamming on my breaks. At the time it scared the poop out of me but when I remember back that was better than any roller coaster I have been on.

Hi Rob,
You are going to love your Vista Blue Mustang when you get it. Maybe the T/C will help in the snow. When did you order it? Do you know about Kzinti at blue oval? He can give you updates on your Mustang. You need the VIN #. It was a lot of fun and he kept us from going nuts asking about our Mustangs. Let us know when you get it home!

We had our first measurable snow of the year today. It was supposed to be 6+ inches, but we only got about 1/4" - 1/2". Oh well, heres the best I could do.....

6 inches tonight, was drivin around in it all night. Snow tires performed excellent.
just glad I wasnt near Midway Airport where the planes overshoot the runway and go into busy streets!

After a few test, I do prefer traction control off in the snow.
In fact I think the traction control caused me to get stuck in a huge snow pile. It bogged the car down at the wrong time.
was nothing a few 1st to reverse's couldnt handle to get out.

Order 7/11
DORA 7/21
As of 12/1 still C/U
I've been reading alot of the posts here, BOF and AFM. I think I've learned more here then when I was in school.

I just gave my dealer the B16 code before Thanksgiving to put into my order and the system accepted it. I went through the Inventory Manager at Jim Doyle Ford here in Buffalo. They are actually one of few dealers that sell alot of stangs because they are also only one of a couple fully authorized SVT dealers.

It's is EXTREMELY difficult to wait but I have wanted a new Stang since about 1985, so after 20 years what's a couple more months. Besides, my birthday's next month and it will be one less month I would have to drive in the salt.

I will definitely post pics the day I get it. Until then I'll just have to keep collecting the Hot Wheels version.

I don't have any pics of mine covered in snow because I keep it garaged overnight but I can tell you it was COLD today after leaving it outside at work from 6:30 this morning until 6 pm tonight without starting it during the day. It died twice before it would stay running and then the door ajar light didn't want to go off until it warmed up a bit. I think it was mad at me! It's about 4 degress right now here in Chicagoland.

Stoenr, I always leave the traction control off and I think it's much better, especially in the snow. People like us from Chicago that know how to drive in this stuff don't need traction control. Besides, its so much fun! My last car was front wheel drive and I got tired of doing donuts in reverse! I drove from Lake in the Hills to Elgin last night at 6 pm and it was great to blow by the guys in SUV's doing 20 mph while I'm cruising along at 55 with no traction problems!

She has seen better/warmer days.
Drove her in the snow last night, she went pretty well even with the stockers, just as long as you're not in a hurry to get anywhere.

No snow here. Not yet anyway. Although it is TN & around here if we don't like the weather then we just wait around a few days. Chances are it will change by then.

But my baby stays garaged when it's at home so no snow worries then. And if I am at work (2 miles from my house) & it starts getting real bad I can always come home & put her up & get my mom's 03 Ranger & then go back.

Good luck guys.

I just got my Torch Red GT coupe yesterday (Saturday, 12/10) the day after we got about 4" of wet snow here in Maryland. So while it wasn't snowed on (yet, at least), it's already dirty from the slop on the roads. Unlike some other TMS posters, my Mustang will be my daily driver, so unfortunately it'll see its share of bad weather before next spring.

Both my Olds 351 and 05 GT are garaged with tarps. I start em once a week to keep the batteries good.
Now I'm driving my beater.
Another 82 Cutlass, with a 3.8 v6, makin a whopping 152 rwhp...
This car was a donor car for the chrome pieces I needed for the 351 car. This thing has bumpers that are half chrome, half silver rustoleum...
But it gets me places and does a mean one legger burnout! lol

The pics in this thread are as close as mine will get to snow! I took my laptop out to the garage and showed some of these pics to my car, and I swear it smiled!!
