I can't believe it, my build date was accurate, dealer says its on the train today and will be here first week of April.

 

Congratulations Dan. I'm still waiting to here when mine will be in. My luck I'll get a call on 4/1 saying to come in, then everybody will jump out and say "April Fools".

 

Words I've waited to hear since November 22, "As of March 22, your unit has been produced !" My car is no longer in a million pieces ! It's a real car !!! YAAAAAY !!!!

I tried to call the 800 number again today, and it's closed due to the holiday. I just would like to know if it's on its way. Thank goodness I live in a state that borders Michigan. I wouldn't think it would take tooooo long, but then again who would have thought I'd wait this long for the thing to be built !

 

Strange thing with mine is that I was told on 3/18: "as of march 22 your unit is scheduled to be built week of march 21." That recording was the same until 3/23 where it changed to "as of march 22 your unit has been shipped by convoy carrier". I thought these cars took a couple of days on the line before they're done. It sounds like mine was built and shipped in a day !!! No hurry with the build guys...take your time...but ship it quickly please!

Me too, Sonic Blue GT coupe ordered 12/6, locked into production for week of 3/21.

Please add your updated details to this thread...e.g. date of shipment via convoy or rail etc...updates along the way including changes from the robot lady too.

Any updates to your particular status may help the others here determine where they are with getting their own car...darn, this waiting is difficult!!

 

I plan on calling the dealer Monday to see if he has an updated status. I noticed the other people said they got theirs before it was expected. Here's hoping mine comes this week. Keeping my fingers crossed...which makes typing difficult. But it's worth it.

 

 

Hummmm......from what I see here is the Week of March 21 was a Mustang GT production week. They probley been producing nothing but v6 and verts for other sales. Until this week. From other topics<rumors> about them stopping or slowing down production of the GTs. Means they will probley have one more week of GT production before they go to the '06s. So I hope tomorrow when I talk to the dealership mine was set for production this week.

Also I have had people suggest to me and I have seen people speak of a 800
number. I have searched for it and have not found it yet. Might someone have it
and post or send the number to me. Thanks.

 

The evil robot lady is done eating easter candy and is back at work. I just called though and she told me "we are unable to process a vehicle order status request, please hold while we transfer you...."

 

She's back, but is she updated? I'm still getting "As of March 24th..."

 

Just called, and got "As of March 23rd, your unit has been shipped via convoy carrier."

Now if my geographical and transportation assumptions are correct, I would guess that my car would be on the convoy carrier all the way to southern Ohio, which means it should be arriving at any hour by now. But heck, what do I know !

 

Just receivied a call from my dealer. My car is in Kansas, scheduled to arrive in Mira Loma on the 3/31. Right on time for a week of the 4/4 delivery.

 

Got an update from my dealer today:

The car will be delivered all the way to SoCal via convoy. I thought it would have been put on a train for at least part of the journey like some of the others around here. ETA has been moved up from the 5th to the 2nd of April...yeah!

Hang in there Val - I was dissappointed at hearing the same nonsensical recordings
last week too. My dealer only showed the car was bucked as of 23 March. Then, that same evening the ERL says it was shipped on March 22. Plus, it has gained 3 days since the original ETA. We know it won't be long now!!

Hey Antdog - Let's keep each other updated regarding the arrival at Mira Loma. Your dealer sounds more informative than mine!
