Mine hybernates for (the ridiculously long Michigan) winter. She will never see a drop of snow or much worse, SALT. :nono:

 

Mine's a daily driver. Dunlop M3 snow tires on it during winter. The only time I won't drive it is when the snow is over 5 inches due to the ground clearance issue. Other than that every day!

 

Only good weather for my Mustang. Got a '97 Silverado as my daily driver. Unless of course I change careers and can't afford to have both. I'm gonna miss that Silverado...

I'm going to drive mine all year long even if it's heartbreaking with all this sand, salt and calcium (I keep my old chevrolet for the extreme conditions). Good winter tires are a must here. Temperature is -27 °C today and I have a better grip with the Mustang than a lot of other drivers (I have to watch them!). Mine is truly a polar stallion!

 

Will be "Great Lake Driver" 25 miles each way though our snow belt. I will have 4 studded snow tires on the smallest wheels I can put on over the brakes. (I have had conflicting advice on the forum on what will fit on which Mustang.) I plan to experiment with weight in the back in an empty parking lot starting at 250#’s and work my way down. If I go with the V6 will get the traction control option, if I get the V8 I’ll have my head examined;-)

 

I'll drive mine year-round here in CT, snow, rain, and all. I've had rear-wheel drive V8 manuals as daily drivers ever since 1980, so why stop now? B)

I've never been stuck in snow yet either, but I do use common sense - if it's a blizzard, I'll work from home if possible, or possibly use the wife's SUV to come in to work if I have to.

I understand the logic of buying a beater for the winter, but I'd rather just get the enjoyment out of the car every day personally.

 

Year round driver for me....... unless there is ice/salt on the roads, then it's my GF's Ranger truck

 

I drive mine all the time -- over 9,100 miles on her since October 22. And believe me, living in Central Illinois, I've seen all the weather -- high winds, snow, sleet, freezing rain, rain, sleet, fog. She handles great!! If the truck is available to drive and we have a lot of ice, then I drive the truck. Otherwise, I drive it all the time. ABS and traction control rock!!

 

I'll be driving my car (when it gets here) all year round. Rain is the worst thing I see in the winter, and usually doesnt last too long.

I expected my GT to be my daily driver, even though I have a 97 Probe GT...until this afternoon! We got about 2 inches of snow and I got stuck on a hill with the car spinning wheels...how embarassing! The traction control light was blinking but I just kept spinning. What a disaster. I guess I have to get used to a RWD manual vehicle. I have been very spoiled with the FWD automatic Probe.

 

Will be here. Although we have a cold front pushing through here, but she's still driven. Oh, the temperature is roughly around 40's at night and upper 60's in the day (cold front). Other than that, it's in the 70-90's year round.

 

I just heard the NE might get a pretty good snowfall Sat into Sunday, so you might want to keep the pony in the stable.

BTW, spinning your wheels isn't embarassing, getting pulled out of a ditch is.

 

Well, if everything works out on my end, my Mustang will be a summer-car only.

I have a beat-up Aerostar that I plan on keeping around for the winter and to haul the odd big item, and the Mustang will be the spring/summer/fall car.

 

Mine is my daily driver.......no matta what!

If it rains I will use my wife's car

I predict 12 to 15K a year on the new 05 when we get it

 

Since I picked her up 12/02, I've put 2100 miles on her and 1K on the LX.
Also use the LX to leave at the airport.
With the ice/snow last night and the snow coming over the next coupla days, she's just gonna sit there with the cover on.

And they don't make car washes for my car.
They make garden hoses and microfiber towels.

 

You get summers up there?

My GT "When it gets here, To Upstate NY" was only gona be a summer driver. In order to save it from salt, but however. The winter car, namely a 1997 saturn just happned to go and crash head on into a steel gardrail on me and was totaled out by my insurace company.....

Looks like a daily driver now, either that or my wifes 1994 firebird??
