This is my first Mustang, a 1979 Cobra with the 5.0 modified for use in Germany by the Frankfurt Ford dealer. Photo was taken at my office on Rhein-Main AB. We lived about 25 minutes from the base. Loved running to and from work on the Autobahn.
My car was purchased in NY and driven home to the MN/WI in October 09. On the way home we stopped to see Niagara and managed to take in in a few Triple-D stops for some great chow. Oh yeah, and there was this little stop as well

Just this past week she returned from an epic road trip west that traced old Route 66 from Chicago to CA. We took a day off to pass through Sedona and Jerome to Prescott, AZ and once again hooked up to Route 66 finishing up on Santa Monica Pier. We then headed up Hwy 1 across the Golden Gate, Hit Napa and then Lake Tahoe via Sac. We then turned south towards Vegas, flanking Yosemite and Death Valley. From Vegas we aimed for Arches Nat'l, followed by Glenwood Springs, CO and back home via Mt. Rushmore. Just shy of 5900 miles and she desperately needs a detailing. Here are a few pics for the thread, anyone recognize these places? <cue the Johnny Cash>:
