This shot is way cool. Good job.Does anyone know the type of engine that is? None of the museums round here have anything like that.
Edit: The biggest we have in Baltimore is the Allegheny 2-6-6-6 and she hasn't run in decades. I'm jealuos

That is Union Pacific 844, a northern type (FEF-3) More information can be found at www.upsteam.com. I hope to get some shots with my updated car, with UP 3985, the LARGER locomotive!
Pat
P.S. always check your mirrors before changing lanes, you could hit something B-I-G
I`m telling you for sure that would be "photo of the week".
I tried to get this one in, but it was rejected
Kind of an interesting story with this picture: In the course of 30 hours I saw this locomotive three times in Cheyenne Wyo. Thermopolis Wyo.and Livingston, Montana. This shot was the 3rd encounter as the tracks paralled I-90 east of Livingston, we`re both heading west at 75mph..

Rocky Mtn high in Colorado
The question here might be how high have you been in your Mustang
Rocky Mtn National Park - Trail Ridge Road
The Continental Divide was just ahead at a greater altitude but my car wasn`t in the pic.
