When you order aftermarket parts, besides for installing them yourself, do you bring them to a Ford dealership to be installed, or a custom car shop?

Im in Rhode Island. There is no way I could install anything myself, I even broke one of those shorty antennas trying to screw it in.

This may hurt most of you, put had my exhaust installed at a Chevy dealership. Only because my buddy is the service manager at the dealership and that was after I spent 3 hours trying to get the pipes to fit around my spare tire (I own an F150).
They should have told me that the exhaust was for a 16 inch wheel, not 17"

IMO this is a tough one. It can be difficult to find a good shop. From a price and quality of work standpoint, I have had the best luck with small independent shops. Look at their facility. Is it neat and clean? If it is somewhere you drive by a lot, what kinds of cars do you see in the lot? If you see specialty cars, like our Mustangs, that is a good sign. Lots of older well kept cars is a good sign too. When you find a shop, talk to them about installing aftermarket parts and their rates. Many will only install parts they purchase, not ones you bring in. Then start with something small for your daily driver, like an oil change and see how it goes.

Window tint is definitely one to have done professionally... All the time I see civic hatchbacks with the 90% tint job. By 90% I mean the surface area that consists of air bubbles *cringe*

I've done everything myself....with the help of some knowledgable friends. These cars are easy to work on for the most part. If you honestly don't think you can do the work find some other Mustang guys who know their stuff and have done similar mods. If you can't find some friends then go looking for a shop.
