I finally got around to installing the Wheelskins cover. I think it is much nicer looking than any of the off-the-rack covers, and it definitely feels a lot more "OEM". This only took me about 2 hours to install. The size is "C", and the color is Charcoal w/ black thread. The total cost was under $35 USD shipped: http://www.dccarcare.com/wsorig.html

I only used 1 spool of thread for the entire wheel, but I needed two thread kits because a second needle is required for the baseball stitch.

i like the idea.. although i'd execute it with black leather, and red fine stitches (2mm apart, rather than 4-5mm as from what i see in your photos)

now if there's a way to remove the IUP aluminum peices off the steering wheel, apply this mod and put them back on.. then i'm 100% interested

G.T.: Thanks for the comments! The cover came pre-punched with the holes spaced in that manner. I suppose if you're determined enough, you could punch extra holes for tighter stitching if needed. I thought about using the black leather, and it would have matched some of the wheel's plastic panels. Overall, I think charcoal blends in with the rest of the dash a bit better than black.

Personally I'm not feelin' it. I really don't like the idea of covering up part of the brushed aluminum with the cover. JMO~

I wouldn't recommend it for the IUP wheels since they already have leather. It's great for the non-IUP wheels though.

Don't feel bad about not being 100% stock! You can always change it back easily. With all of the aftermarket parts available, I'm surprised you've resisted the urge for this long. As you can see from my mods, I have NO plans to go back to stock. I know I'm SOL on warranty work for multiple parts.

Excellent stitching job! I just installed the Wheelskins EuroTone cover with yellow / black to match my screaming yellow stang with black/yellow seat covers. DC CarCare handled the transaction for $38.95 + S/H. Took about two hours to install. I went nice and slow and made sure every stitch was tight. No pics at this time.

Had a red and charcoal on my Stealth for years. It's held up well but needs cleaned really good. Protects the steering wheel and can look good over most wheel covers. Mine's a two-tone.

I was reading the instructions for the OEM/factory leather wheel cover for a 2007 Honda Civic. It required you to stitch it just like a Wheelskins, but instead of dummy stitches on the outside near the spokes, it called for using 2-sided tape/adhesive.
