Wheel and Tire Size with Wheel Flares
I am looking at getting wheel flares that add 2" to the rear and 1.75" on the front. A stock 2006 has 19" rims, 305 tires in the front, and 255 front. I am wondering what those would look like with the wheel flares. Has anyone used these flares? What is a good rim and tire size to use with them? https://ezsplitters.com/product/ford...-flares-05-09/

Look at the pictures included on the website. Do you see how the stock 235 wheels/tires are in those flairs? Especially notice the picture in the upper right. See anything glaring?
That's right. They used *hella* spacers to get those wheels to match up with the flares, something you really shouldn't do without seriously considering the stresses involved. Also, looks like (insert synonym for a donkey).
Anyway, if your car already has wheels that are right at the fenders, they'll tuck inside those flairs pretty deep. Hence the spacers, which again, really make the car look like (insert word for excrement) if you ask me. Although your wider back tires (unknown rim widths, but one can assume something in the 9.5 or bigger range?) might look decent those 255s on the 8.5" (?) will look... well, (insert word for lifted by a mechanical device) up.
But that's just me. The thing is the only thing you can do is to either eyeball it best you can, maybe use a ruler/tape measure to guesstimate the amount of tuck and/or work and/or parts and/or stuff you're gonna need to do/acquire/make, or use the handy dandy CAD to mock things up before you get them. CAD meaning 'Cardboard Aided Design', of course. Cut up some cardboard to make some mock up flairs and tape them to the body and then you'll have the best idea without buyin' anything.

Me personally can't stand the flared wheels look. Would never buy a car with them and especially if it wasn't an OEM stock option. Even the Dodge Demon flared wheel looks not for me. But to each they're own as said before on this forum you do you.

I'll hold my thoughts on flares and focus on the OP original question:
You need to understand how wheel design/sizing works, so that you can figure out how to correctly design/size the wheels to fit with the flares. Basically you will have 1.5 or 2" more space to work with on the outside; meaning you can shift the wheels outward, or use that extra space to add width on the outside. I think more positive offset shifts the wheel outward, but you should take a look at some of the on-line tools to see and understand for yourself how this works. If you use the standard wheels with the tire sizes that you mentioned in the original post, it will look super-goofy because the flares will be just empty space with the tires set back inside.
