Its not the idea of an opinion gettin laughed at, its the fact that you and anyone else can do whatever they want with their own car, and no one should post saying that it is a lame complaint. I'm sure we can all agree with that. Well, all of us except for one person.

my only complaint, is that i can hear something vibrating at idle, and my idle is kind of rough. When I put it in reverse, the car vibrates badly, so im gonna have to take a trip to ford about that, other than that, no complaints.

You can think its lame all you want. You can even post saying its lame. But you don't have to make a post (or numerous posts) saying that the person shouldn't mod it, or that it is stupid to mod it. There is a difference, and its a distinct one. Whether or not its a e-brake or the spoiler or whatever.

Awwww, come on Grantsdale, cut him a little slack on the e-brake comments. It's not his fault he can't tell how cheap and ugly it is... he doesn't have his car yet.
Rabbit punch, I know.
hmm... what was this topic anyway?

Personally I hate the complaints of the lack of fake scoops.
From the press for all Fords in general are 'cheap hard plastics', when they laud Toyotas. The entire interior(read: EVERY, SINGLE PIECE) of say, a toyota Highlander limited interior is STONE HARD PLASTIC(read: NOT ONE SINGLE SOFT PIECE-not the dash, not the door handles, not the console, NOTHING). And that no one complains that every Toyota uses the same door handles, switches, door pins, and steering wheels from models prior to 1993 in every single car dumbfounds me. They still use wood screws and spot welds to hold on the little door window frames for crying out loud, just like they did in 1980. The only difference is they dont rust anymore. Other then the computer management systems, new plastic shapes, and electric gizmos, they are 20 year old designs all chopped up from 4 or so platforms. What gives?

I like how Volvo avoids drilling the plate into the bumper. They make two horizontal pieces of metal, carefully bent away to support the nuts for machine screws for the plate. They carefully spot weld nuts to the ends. they then carefully spot weld two vertical supports to keep the little frame alligned. GUESS how they attatch it to the bumper..............THEY TAKE TWO SCREWS AND SCREW THEM INTO THE BUMPER COVER. now thats brilliant
Here is a news flash, every single japanese car uses plastic bumper covers filled with styrofoam, whether they choose to make a bracket or not that is how they are attatched. You can walk up to a honda civic, grab the corner of the bumper cover, and with little effort pull the entire front end off the car, it only has a bunch of clips and 4 wood screws holding it in. Toyota goes through the trouble to make a flimsy metal bracket that the screws rust-weld into every time and you have to almost always drill them out and order another $30 tin bracket(see Volvo for details).....
After removing 400+ sets of license plates from every kind of car you can think of, the simple bolting it to the bumper cover is the best way to do it. I like it personally the way it is. Only metal bumpers on trucks should have brackets, and they should be plastic so they do not rattle, return to shape with a minor bump, or rust-weld screws. Toyota and BMW front plates are the worst. the screws rust in and the spot welds on the nuts break off all the time. If they do not want the tags, its easer to bend them untill they break off the screws rather then trying to remove them.
