m05FASTBACKGT, Since here in Texas they consider 15K a year as average, that would mean at least 195K should be normal mileage on a 13 year old car. I was under the impression that a daily driver with less than half of that would be considered as low mileage. They say you learn something everyday and I just did.
I looked at the thread you provided, a lot of the cars with "high mileage" were equal to mine were back in 2013-2015. NADA gives $900 extra for mileage. Now I'm scratching my head as to why my DD is considered "upper high mileage" at 91K in 2021.

"Low miles" can be very subjective and different to many, but members in my local car club would also consider a car approaching 100,000 miles as high mileage. Components will be wearing out, and much sooner than later in many cases. Engines last these days with much higher miles if maintained well, but the same can't be said for the other parts of the car. They have high miles. No getting around it whether accumulated in 5 years or 25 years.

As nice as your car may be (really nice clean '08), and even with highway miles, 91k miles is high mileage to me as well. I've heard the Texas argument before. The miles do add up. I get it, but it doesn't matter where you live, miles are miles, and price guides?? Well, whatever, but I wouldn't pay extra $$$ for my own car with 60,500 miles (garage kept since day 1) never mind one with even more miles. Retail, perhaps, but not extra. Yes I would definitely pay more $$$ for a car with 20,000 miles on it because the entire car is barely used. Every component of our cars goes through the mileage thing. There are 60k miles on my brakes, my a/c, my suspension, clutch, just everything. Only a used car salesman would consider my car low miles. See post #20 for m05fastbackGT response to my original post. It is spot on. Right in the middle.

Meanwhile, we'll be looking forward to seeing some pics of your awesome ride

m05fastbackGT, I understand somewhat better as to what you were after with your initial post. I see my car's mileage is basically in limbo. Too many miles to be a toy since my car is a daily driver and not enough miles to qualify as high mileage since there are S-197's with 200K miles of fun on them here. I've since deleted my posts as I see they don't belong here.

54B! Just to make certain we're both on the same page, as I mentioned earlier, everyone has their own description/opinions as to what is considered as high mileage vs low mileage, as I totally get where your coming from when you bring up 195k miles on a 13 year old car as average, but once again, the purpose of this thread was to gather as many folks who still own their 2005-09 cars that have low miles on them and once again, I should had specified more clearly in the thread title, I was referring to low mileage as being 50k miles or less and therefore I was clearly wrong for not being more specific in the first place. Anyhow, for what it's worth, NC07GTCS described it best in his post response exactly where I was coming from in my initial post to your response. At any rate, I hope this at least somewhat clarifies things a bit more and as far as I'm concerned, it also wasn't necessary that you felt the need for deleting any of your posts, as your feedback and input is always welcomed and valued here as a fellow Mustang enthusiast

Your '08 looks sweet with those miles. You should be proud to show it off. It's not easy to keep a car looking so good when it's being driven regularly. Car folks appreciate that.
Hey, m05fastbackGT, maybe a new thread entitled, "Let's see how nice your high mileage cars still look." Since I'm in the 'middle' I can post again.
Oh no! Never delete posts unless you really screw up. You did not as your opinion is as valued as anyone else. No one is right. Just different interpretations.
