What would you do.....4k to spend

I have a stock '07 Mustang GT. But next month I have 4k to spend on my baby. What would you guy's do?

I'm thinking about:
  • Tinting the windows
  • Lowering the car (FRRR Mustang GT Coupe Handling Pack)
  • Corsa Mustang GT Axle-Back w/4.0" Pro-Series Tips w/ X-Pipe
  • Cai
  • Steeda Underdrive Pulley System
  • Sequential/Chase rear light kit
  • Short Throw Shifter
  • Tuning
Or do you guys think it's wise to do other mods or to do only one or two more drastic mods?

Tint windows now and save another $1-2k for a supercharger.

That's what I was thinking about to. But then most of the outside of my Stang will still be stock.

My question about a Supercharger is.......Are other mod's required to accomodate a Supercharger.

If you decided to supercharge after you purchased all these mods, the underdrive pulley, CAI, and tune will all be wasted money.

1) I believe the Saleen supercharger can use the CAI, but every other S/C manufacturer uses a different location for the throttle body.

2) The underdrive pulley would underspin the supercharger, thus you would have to reinstall the stock crank pulley.

Great information. Thanks

To be honest I do not know a whole lot about superchargers. Which supercharger has proven quality, great hp improvement and is worth the money?

Lowering the the Stang will not be a problem when I decide to to SC the Stang? Will the stock hood fit a SC?

I am going to propose the opposite viewpoint. I think the Mustangs are powerful enough as it is, especially with a few cheaper mods such as CAI and pulleys. But unless you are going to take the car to the track, I say hold off on the supercharger. Dont forget that unless you are installing it yourself, it will cost you a good 2-3k for installation, bringing the total to about 7 or 8 thousand. I say get some kicka$$ wheels, a completely different exhaust system, new front fascia, maybe even some custom paint work....something along those lines. Dont get me wrong, I am in pretty much the same predicament (s/c or lots of little things) and as much as I would love to supercharge, I cant rationalize spending that much money in one concentrated area of the car.

2-3k is from what I've heard and read atad over actual cost. I'd say in the neighborhood of 1-1.5k.

It depends on what you can do. The best way to save money is to do things yourself. So if it was me, I'd save some and put a Vortech on that sucker. I'd save all the install costs, because I'm reasonably sure, with some help from my uncles, that I could do it. If you cant, then go with some smaller things. Lowering, CAI, tune, pulleys, that sort of thing.

After all those little performance boosts the car will already be alot different and preety powerful. I say do some little things make the car exactly what u want it to look like.
