What Strut Tower Brace Will Work With Factory Plenum Cover????

Which one will work without any problems of hitting the hood and the factory plenum cover? Will the one off the GT 500 work without touching??

I think the new V6 strut brace from Ford Racing will work. I haven't found out for shure yet because I'm still waiting for mine to come in.

I have the GT500 one and it just barely clears and also hides the damage from when the hood blanket was rubbing.

I have the BMR and have no problems with it rubbing the cover or the insulation.

I have one of these with my Roushcharger and it fits fine, although the web site shows out of stock. Don't know what that is about.

I have the Strange (standard I guess, they didn't offer the extended height when I bought mine). I've got the Midwest Auto Gear cover instead of the stock, but I don't know if there's much of a difference in height.

Mine has rubbed a couple of times on the passenger side of the cover, but it's hardly noticable. I don't have the hood blanket installed, so that isn't rubbing anywhere.

I have the Strange also, with the Ford plenum cover. There's about 1/4" of clearance over the cover. I think it rubs the hood mat just a little bit.

I have the GT500 bar and it clears fine, I think he was saying that the insulator sagged a bit and rubbed the cover and the bar hides the marks... I think.. D

Glad I could help. It's not real fancey but it does the job and was made to fit over the Supercharger. It ws a hard choice to buy the Lime but it was the last GT in that color and now I'm glaad I did. Post up some pics when you get your brace!!

To throw in a new wrinkle, I got the Granatelli Street bar and it clear the plenum and the hood just fine. With any of these, I think it would be best if you did the little trick where you move the washer on the plenum cover to provide a little extra clearance!!
