I have yet to get any word or any viewing pleasure (except for last year at the auto show...) or the 05 Stangs over here. How about Virginia, Tennessee, or South Carolina? I'm going insane here!

they had an 05 mustang at the State Fair in OKC. And talked to some dealers today that are expecting the mustang in a few days.

My first post, but I've been keeping an eye on this site for a while...TONS of info here that I haven't been able to find anywhere else. I've not seen much posted with regards to the VA/NC area, so here's my 2 cents worth...Just got back from talking to my salesman a few hours ago (dealership in Richmond, VA)...got settled on a price, finally. According to him, one of the other Ford dealerships in Richmond got their first shipment today, so he's expecting mine within the next two or three days. It was shipped out on Oct. 1. Sonic Blue GT Deluxe...my first mustang!!!...I have a digital camera all ready to go, and I will post a pic if it ever comes in (ordered in June...feels like I've been waiting FOREVER!!!)

I'm in NC and mine should be in soon, I'll post pics once it arrives! BTW, it will be parked beside my 2000 EZGO in the garage but the Stang will get all the attention. Can't wait any longer...

Yeah, I keep getting that, too. I've called around to check other dealerships, just to make sure I wasn't getting yanked around by my dealer. The only one that I didn't hear the "any day now" comment from was a dealer in Virginia Beach, who told me they didn't expect any until November.
I think the correct answer from the dealers is "your guess is as good as ours".

Yeah, I was told by my salesman today that he wouldn't be surprised if he came in tomorrow morning and it was there...
Of course, he also said that last Tuesday when he called to tell me that it had been shipped...so I told him I'm not holding my breath (well, OK, maybe I am a little bit...)
I kinda feel sorry for the guy, I think I've driven him crazy the past few weeks. Its gotten so bad that the dealership receptionist seems to recognize my voice when I call...I must seem very obsessed to them!!!

If it comes by train it might be sitting at the lot waiting to be trucked to the dealership. In that case your sales rep can call the VOPC, and have them tag it to get pulled on the first truck coming to the dealership.

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll check on that tomorrow. I got the impression from him that once they got the notice it had been shipped, that was it, until it showed up on the lot.
They did have the invoice today, which gave me at least some small, tangible proof I actually have a car on its way...WOOHOO!!!

I drive by Capitol Ford in Raleigh at least once a week; the Ford site lists them as having 5 V6s in inventory, but there were none when I passed today. If I see any, I'll be sure to post.

VT05 - I'm in Richmond too...what dealership supposedly got their first? I'm going to be on the West End today so if it's Universal or Richmond I can cruise by at lunch. If it's Sheehy on Midlothian I can hit them on my way home this evening.

I talked to Universal last week when I got my brochure and they were expecting theirs this week but we've heard that one before...

Supposedly it was Richmond Ford. I called Universal and Sheehy yesterday...got the "any day now" comment from both of them.

I'm never doing business with Capitol Fraud ever again after they sabotaged my 1995 Mustang 4 years ago when I took it to them for 60,000 mile maintenance. While attempting to change my sparkplugs, they stripped 3 of them, claimed that they were misthreaded, and then said that it wasn't their responsibility to cover the cost to have a machine shop repair everything. Shyeah, right. They changed their minds when I had my attorney contact them.

The moral of this story is to have my good friend Garland Shepheard of Team Ford in Tarboro, NC get my next Mustang for me. He really worked hard to get my current 2000 Mustang specially ordered, he gave me an amazingly high trade in on my 1995, and then he cut me a very sweet deal on my GT.

But I'll be happy to go test drive at Capitol Fraud before I let Team Ford order one for me since I live in Raleigh.

Amy...I called and confirmed...Richmond Ford does indeed have a Windveil Blue in the showroom...based on Forddirect it is most likely a V6...hmmm!!!
