Hopefully anyday now! They had a problem with matching the satin black on a couple things that they had a respray. This was on Monday. I am going to go t the shop tomorrow and see whats up.

Also unique on my car is the exhaust system. I have blended in the Boss 302 side exhausts with the Kooks LT with catted H-pipe. I have QTP Boss 302 cutouts installed also, so I can control how loud the exhaust is!

Wow, that's awesome. The flat black gives it a very 3D look. Do you have some kind of flat coating on the tail lights as well?

ME!!!!

SeanD 12/6/12 04:31 PM

Coming soon! The back end was the only good thing to get a picture of.

The taillights are satin clear coated. I got the idea from the Foose Magnaflow Mustang. I talked to the shop about it and they were not too sure about it, but it came out great. They already had 5 other customers go crazy about it and want the shop to do it to theirs.

Hopefully tomorrow I will have some finished pictures of some of the other things done to the car.

My future plans for the car will make it more and more like the Hurst Mustang pace car.... reverse stripes, white leather interior, some different body mods.... then I'll definitely be in this category of Unique S197s I haven't decided on whether or not I'll go gold on the inserts.... just have to wait and see. :)

Well, I can definitely get back in on this thread. I didn't go gold on the inserts, I went white.

=HYPERDRIVE= 10/21/13 05:39 PM

When I ordered my 2013 GT Premium, I was surprised with finding that the car came with a CS Leather insert door panel on the passenger side while the driver side is the normal GT type. Huge mistake and awesome quality control I must say, but decided to keep it, as it does look very unique and rare with a factory mistake.

Sweet car. Love the mods and stance. Looks real mean. How'd you get the xxr wheels to fit? I've heard the offset is a little janky for our cars.
What's the stance too?

Imatk 4/22/14 10:14 AM

Man I REALLY like how you did the foglights :)

There's not much space back there... must have been a tight fit.

What makes mine unique?

-2005 Sonic Blue (only year of production for this colour).
-One of the first 2005 mustangs ordered / delivered in Canada.
-Only that I've ever seen equipped with the wheels I have (not made anymore).
-Almost certainly the only Sonic Blue car with a GT500 motor.

I feel you on that. I know exactly what you mean bro. That's why I spent stupid money to have that airbrushing work done under my hood. To give my engine bay a completely different unique look from any other engine bay. Of course , this is only when showing off at car shows. The exterior, nothing unique about mine that hasn't been done over thousands of times.

That being said... some really cool stuff you've got there...

- Removal of 1/4 windows -- What do those look like from the inside?
- Looks like some Baer 6Ps to bring her to a halt... what have you done under the hood?

Cavero 12/1/15 04:55 PM

Well that would be the "custom" relo on the PCV breather from my intake -- so it'd stop resting on the coolant resivoir.

JCCNY 12/1/15 04:56 PM

That's certainly unique SeanD, I don't think I've ever seen rear quarter windows disappear like that.

The only thing about mine that might be slightly unique is the spoiler delete on a GT, don't see them too often. I found a local used lot with a salvage 6er for sale with no spoiler, but when I stopped by it was gone. Dealer took my info as said he'd contact the parents who bought it for their teenage son. To my surprise, I got a text weeks later and we ended up exchanging deck lids.

Looks like spoiler was blended to trunk and rear quarters too.

Is that a super shaker under the hood with a cobra jet emblem?

And of course like you said the Baer with the two piece rotors.

Color matched headlight buckets

And the very rare Cervini tail lights

No supercharger under the hood yet. Everything is in place for it though. Engine is cammed with Detroit Rockers. Kooks LT with a custom quad exhaust (side and rear exits).

There are carpeted covers on the inside where the glass was, so you really cannot tell there was a window in there.

I wish I had the Supershaker. I was hoping for Saleen to start back up production of them, but I guess they wont be doing that now. I blended in a Cervinis spoiler in the rear.

Sean ! I actually may have some great news for you.. Brenspeed has the Supershaker in stock on sale for $1,342.00...

281 motorsports also has them for $1,499.00.. However just bear in mind these are upgrades for those who already have the Saleen series VI supercharger..

As I mentioned, these are Supershaker upgrade kits for the Saleen series VI superchargers which are not included..

Unfortunately this also means that Saleen won't be back to making them being as they discontinued production more than several years ago..

Therefore the Supershakers currently in stock through Brenspeed and 281 motorsports are remaining/leftover spare parts and once they're finally sold out, they'll no longer be available !

Mine is a 2013 MCA convertible. The Hellion turbo makes it unique - as well as the CDC Performance Grille, Roush lower grille, CDC RTR front chin painted body color, CDC side splitters, CDC rear splitters, RTR license plate surround, custom lighted door sills (say "2013 MCA Edition" in lights with "by Classic Design Concepts" and "Woodward Dream Cruise August 2012" written on either side of that); tinted front markers, CDC light bar.

Truly unique is the hood. One of only 4 in existence, a cowl hood by Revelare Designs with the GT hood vents in it. Painted by Carl's Custom Creations with a gloss black stripe.

before I even got mine, I had photoshopped crudely taking out the widows on the first picture of a vista blue I found online...mine was on order a month before I got to even see the color...anyway, thought a lot along the same lines as you on the looks, slats/black trim/70 mach1-ish stripe around a shaker- only difference, I wanted a 69 emblem on roof :)

heres that crude old photoshop picture, and one of the hood the day we painted it in 2010...yeah I'm a little slow :)

I painted the lower trim line/rockers too, added a taillight blackout (would like to see a full rear view of yours with the Cervini/shelby setup) but havent done any mods yet...just finally got a tuner last year- yeah, wish i'd bought that 9 yrs ago, really perks up the car

SeanD 12/10/15 08:29 PM

If you are talking about the 69 round emblem that goes near the quarter windows, I have them and was thinking of putting them on, but they looked a little too small for the area.

ford4v429 12/10/15 08:45 PM

yeah, I always loved the 69 emblems- but i can see where youre probably right- the sail panel is a lot bigger than on a 69... maybe call SHR and see if Marcello could whip you up a set at 125% scale :)
I ended up procrastinating- had talked to Shawn from Fang performance at the all ford swap meet about getting their conversion-plus filling the roof, he said he was thinking about doing same to his...he had a black one with silver stripes there that I just couldnt quit drooling over- really liked everything they did, shame they didnt make it...I did wind up with three of their shaker hoods though :)
on the roof, I saw SHR's teaser pics of their flush louvers and fell in love, got two sets of those here- actually 3, my first set I screwed up - didnt use the adhesion promoter- and they came loose that summer, pulling them out, i screwed up the paint- really pissed me off as 100% my fault for not following directions, but I had spent like 12 hours painting that first set, was super proud of how they turned out- they are a royal bear to paint/mask... didnt have time to redo, so just ordered prepaints to replace them...SHR does a good job on the prepaint, heck I had 200 in materials on that first set- prepaints were cheaper and effortless :)
still have another new set of prepaints in the trunk of the 09 for 'someday'...just ordered a rear medallion like the one on Brad Barnett's 'project source horse' always loved that look too...will try it on, probably will end up with them on the other 2 cars too someday... SHR has a lot of nice stuff, like a jewelry store for your car- love that its all made here too.

anyways, Ive always been partial to black-on-blue, gotta say love the black trim on the windveil blue as well :)

Here's mine. The uniqueness is very subtle on my car.

Exterior wise, I did little. Just the Shelby spoiler ($99 including paint), the vinyl blackout on the back, chrome tail pipes, covers on the mirrors and the 18 inch polished Bullitts.

I have no mechanical mods (except a strut tower bar). The mods are mostly in the interior, and pretty hard to notice, as most is retrofitted. I have:

-Honda S2000 start button
-chromed Ford Fusion door grommets
-interior chrome door handles from Ford Taurus
-chromed bezel around auto shifter
-Ford Racing illuminated door sill Mustang script
-retrofitted Ford DVD headrests (I have sooo much more peace and quiet in the car now!!)
-retrofitted nav unit
-Bullitt steering wheel
-retrofitted ambient lighting
-one touch turn signals
-one touch rear windows
-blue gauge faces
-my own e-brake boot
-shelby e-brake handle
-retrofitted power passenger seat
-retrofitted heated seats
-interior has been changed from dove grey to charcoal black
-rear camera mirror (camera in the trunk keyhole)

I have everything to change the colour of the interior. The interior is now completely black, unlike the photos that still show the grey seats and carpet. Most of the parts are courtesy of KC.

I will say that the biggest pain was changing the entire dash, as the whole thing had to be pulled out.

Hey i know this post is super old but i was just scrolling through and noticed what you had done to your interior and i have been wanting to do the same thing (changing the interior from grey to charcoal) but how did you go about doing that? Where did you get the pieces and how much did it cost overall?
My interior is completely grey and is the only thing i havent been very happy with my car lol. Beautiful stang you have there by the way.

Wow you all have great looking Mustangs. Well lets see what makes mine unique.......Well It's COMPLETELY STOCK!! Except for the floor mats and tail pipes. So many owners modify their cars that I guess mine is different...........love your cars guys!!.........

Bert 9/28/16 05:35 PM

Mine is unique because . . . . . . . . .
it's a 2010! The "red headed stepchild" of Mustangs.

And, I don't even care that I don't have the Coyote engine, it's modded with the road track in mind and it works just fine for me.

Paulluap 10/3/16 10:37 PM

Wow I have to agree, there are some awesome looking Mustangs on here.
Not sure how unique mine is, but the wheel is on the other side. Working on the uniqueness. :)

In a way your actually far better off keeping your car completely stock.. Once you start modding, it becomes an addiction in which you can't stop, as your never really satisfied lol.

Also keeping your engine N/A is much less stressful on your components and will extend the lifespan as well..

IMO ! Your Mustang is most definitely unique.. For yours is the first S197 I've seen with the steering column on the right hand side :nice:

Too True, I have only had my car for a few months but now I am spending a lot of time browsing american muscle.com etc. So many goodies Haha
Just about to sell my offroader (that was part of the deal with the wife, one toy had to go) to pay back the bathroom money I borrowed to buy the car.

But I should end up with an extra $1000, so guess where that is going. ;)

I joined this forum when I purchased my car about 2 years ago. My car is unique because it is a tribute to the Mach1 Twister Special edition built in 1970. Fang Performance customized this car in April of 2007, when Ford first (re)introduced Grabber Orange as a color choice..

https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/themust...11f159fc2c.jpg

Fang customized a total of 32 cars in various styles with Mach 1 tribute packages and custom body and performance options. Mine is serial number 024, and is the only Twister Special package version made by Fang before they closed their doors in 2008. (Read 1 of 1!)
The shaker hood is a double walled, fiberglass unit hand crafted by Terry DeLong (Fang co-owner). It is a functional unit, which forces air from the shaker scoop into a channel between the hood layers, and back to the air box area. It is not a high hp adding feature, but it shows Terrys' creativeness .:hail:

https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/themust...d8e59c2c04.jpg

I purchased it from a dealership that received it from the original owner, who had Fang do the work on it. Fang added many of the original trademark touches that the original Twisters had on them, such as the shaker scoop, hood twist locks (mine are non-functional), a honeycomb rear deck panel, and the original style hood stripe with engine displacement, Mach1 side stripes, and Twister Special logos.

https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/themust...ba15cdda5d.jpg

Some other upgrades are Black Bullitt 18x9s with Nitto tires, a 1.5" drop, Koni struts and shocks, a "Stop the Hop" suspension package, 95mm C&L CAI, custom Predator tune, Borla X-pipe and cat-back exhaust, Hurst short-throw shifter, aluminum rear louvers, and sequential tail lights.

https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/themust...1d62ff3709.jpg

This vehicle has the honor of being the only tribute car listed in the new "Twister Registry" because it was created months before the 2008 R&A Twisters were introduced. The car currently has 28,700 miles on it.

m05fastbackGT 11/25/16 03:06 PM

I've never had the chance to see a Twister Special in person.. She's definitely very special and one of a kind :nice:

Bert 11/26/16 09:18 AM

That is very cool that the license plate matches the color scheme. That doesn't happen often, makes it extra special!

m05fastbackGT 11/26/16 01:16 PM

You're 100% spot on Bert.. The color scheme does indeed match perfectly and yet it's only been a few short years since NY state went back to it's traditional blue and orange color scheme for their license plates :nice:

electrotyper 11/26/16 02:54 PM

Just glad NY got rid of the Statue of Liberty plates a couple of years back!

m05fastbackGT 11/27/16 02:52 AM

Same here, as the statue of liberty along with the white, blue and red color scheme just didn't look right..

New York's state colors started out as black and orange and then changed to blue and orange in the mid 1960's and remained unchanged until the mid 1980's..

After 20+ years of having to look at those hideous license plates lol. New York finally came back to their senses and reverted back to the traditional state colors of Blue and Orange.. Despite living in the Pittsburgh, PA area for over the last 30 years, I'm originally from Lockport, NY and of course a lifelong Bills and Sabres fan as well :D

I might be one of the weird ones then, because I actually liked the Statue of Liberty plates. Then again, those were the only ones there were the whole time growing up. Hated the blue/white/blue ones they started issuing around 2001 though. As far as the new orange ones go, I'd moved out of CNY by then, but my parents hated them because they were making everyone turn their old ones in so DMV could get their money.

I wouldn't consider you as being one of those weird ones at all.. As I can certainly understand your reason for liking the Liberty plates, as just like you said they were the only ones around during the time you were growing up..

Although the Blue/White/blue ones they started issuing in 2001 were IMO an improvement, I still prefer the original Blue and Orange color scheme the best, as those were the colors I grew up with lol.

I also agree that states shouldn't require turning in their old plates unless there no longer in acceptable enough condition..

Mine is unique because it isn't a tribute car, but rather a mustang that looks and feels the way I want it to. My first Mustang ever. I think the CF hood and the oem gt500 front end really make my mustang stand out.

I couldn't agree more Darren.. IMO what makes your Mustang truly unique, is by personalizing it to your own liking just the way you want it rather than try to clone it into something that it's really not to begin with..

I also agree that your CF hood and OEM GT500 front end do indeed really make your Mustang stand out :nice:

It has a pretty good sound. However, it sounded WAY meaner when it had the cams. It also has the X pipe after the cat.

Thanks for posting the video and although I agree that your Corsa cat back has a pretty good sound, you still did not address my question..

I asked specifically if in your opinion, the Corsa has a higher pitched exhaust tone when compared to either Borla or Roush..

I wish I could answer that question but I am not familiar enough with the Borla or the Roush set ups to tell.

I've listened to several sound clips comparing the Corsa sport axle back vs. Corsa Xtreme axle backs and it seems as though the Corsa Xtremes have a deeper exhaust tone over the Corsa Sports..

So here's my next 2 questions for you.. Which Corsa mufflers are you running, the Corsa Xtreme or Corsa Sport ? And my next question is.. Are you running an O/R mid pipe or using cats ?
