I talked with my dealer Saturday and he says that Ford will try to make sure all dealers get at least one car on or about the same day. Some go by rail to the west coast and might take longer, others by semi and get there quickly, so they will hold all others up and try to time it so cars get to their destinations at the same time. I guess it's done this way on brand new models especially, so they have a big Opening Day and all dealers will have something to show and take orders on. :drive:

Slept like a baby, last night, Job 1 didn't even cross my mind.
Sorry to be the party pooper, but this whole build up to Job 1 has gone on so long, it's become completly anti-climatic to me. Especially since we al know that as of Aug 1 Ford had already built around 200 prototypes and pilot run 05 Stangs AND we also know that Ford has been building small quantities of full production '05 Stangs for at least 3 weeks.
I'll get excited when I see a couple '05 Stangs sitting on the lots of several dealers near by.

Sounds to me like between today and Sept 24 (the Friday before Monday Sept 27) Ford will have built around 5,000 - '05 Stangs. That's at least 1 for every dealer.

If my dealer calls me up and says, "it's here!! You can come get it tomorrow!" then I won't sleep.
Job 1 is like a movie trailer to me. It's exciting to know its coming out, but until the release date it's just pie on the cart.

I'm still in shock that within a month I will own the sweetest mass production mustang ever made!!!!!!!! Wow, I don't think it will it me tell I actually sit in the driver's seat!!! You better believe I stayed up tell midnight to see the site change!!!!!!! Less than a month boys!!!!!!!!!!!
