Went over a speed bump and heard a horrible scraping noise. Later on tonight, I start smelling fuel. I looked under my car and saw a wet spot on the ground. Upon closer inspection, I saw that a piece of plastic was hanging down on the driver's side. Basically, I went over the bump, it tore the plastic open, then scraped a hole in the fuel line. I'm going to put the car up on a lift tomorrow and pull off the plastic to see the amount of ownage. Gotta love it.

could have been worse. That scrape could have caused a spark and you'd have a lot more problems.

I have no idea. It's not like I altered the ride height or anything, and I maintain my tire pressure. So my car is riding at the stock height. Anyone know of a way to patch it, or do I just need a whole new fuel line from pump to filter?

*UPDATE* I put the car on a lift today and took a look. I removed the plastic, and it turns out that the connection to the fuel pump was loose. Phew, thought I was about to shell out quite alot of money to get Ford to put in some new lines.
