IT IS SOOOOOO MUCH BETTER LOOKING IN PERSON THAN ON THE NET.
If I had a quarter for every time someone said that I'd be a rich man.

To anyone that hasn't seen this car in person....... you will be floored.

Roush and Ford seem to be working very closely in recent years. We already know that Roush was dynoing 05 prototypes before anyone had their hands on them.

I guess the new thing is to subcontract work to more specialized companies. This seems to be happening with all car parts. Magna International is a good example (Galaxie, I'm sure you've heard/applied to them) They are probably more efficient and Ford doesn't need to invest in as much "in house" equipment & staff. I'm sure the SVT guys are working with the Roush guys though.

I hope I don't faint in the dealership

So the SE that's been rumored for early next year is just a striping option with 18's? That's what I'm assuming for the post.

Guys guys.....I'm curious will the mustang come with the option of racing stripes. because the model shown at the autoshow in detroit looked so sexy with stripes.

You'd also have to make it Titanium with 18s. <3

Like we've mentioned, Shelby has two prototypes right now. Shelby's had racing stripes. Therefore if we see a Shelby SE, we'll see your stripes.

Tier 1's have been doing a lot of the original ideas/design work

Look at MyColor.. it was developed by Delphi

I could go on for hours and hours about other parts developed by subcontractos

Dano, still waiting for my connections at Magna

I guess my answers lead to more questions lol.... I am going to see it again on sat and will try to get the diameter of the exhaust tips.... The cars sounds great on the video clips we have but didn't cut the mustard in real life. It was a full production model and is completely up to spec. There government rating isn't set yet but it is exactly like the production model. I heard more fan than i did exhaust. I did verify that there were only two cats right out of the header and no bricks after that.
Sounds like it was sitting with the hood up. I was outside of one, sounds good to me, almost a dead ringer for an 01 cobra exhaust

Fantastic news. Thanks for the great report! I hope to see it in person myself just as soon as I can find the perfect combination of time and opportunity...

Roush has a history of working very closely with ford...
This is no surprise.

Yeah, the exhaust won't be quite as loud as say a Mach1/Bullitt, its a more mainstream car. Good, but not loud.
Aftermarket borla's fo sure

First SE (or package)
I see 18s, stripes, cover, etc
Purely cosmetic.
Make sure those launches go well...rather than rushing other models and troubleshooing ALL of them at once.

Glad you liked it.
People will like it, hate it, or hate it then like it

That looks like it would also be a great job. Those guys have their own "Kennedy Compound" in Aurora I believe. Frank, Belinda etc. all have their houses their and the offices and factories are also there. I hear there is waterfalls, fountains, roads etc... Must be nice.

That's what my dealer said. He stated it will be purely cosmetic. He also mentioned maybe a specail console or interior touches too.

I'd be perfectly happy with an SE package like that. If I knew that was being offered in the near future (by March/April '05), I'd decline the '05 GT that I've already ordered (since I didn't put any $ down), and wait for the SE "cosmetic package".
