FINALLY some good news for the V6 buyers!

 

yeah man, my car is being built on Wed (15th), V6, manual with all the delayed goodies, IUP, exterior sport package etc.

Can not wait, I am thinking my car my come in 4 weeks ahead of time. Since I just ordered it on 12/5 it looks like my car will get here no later then 1/5.



THATS 4 weeks, for a special order V6.

 

I went to the dealer on Fri. to make sure all was going as told. I'm still set to be produced this week.Gt with iup.I hope to be driving it just after the first of the year.

 

How do you get an exact build day? I have a build week (this week), but no actual day. Thanks for any info.

 

Not that I would begrudge you if this is true. but you would be the very 1st to order a Mustang & have it built just 10 days after you ordered it, & not 10 to 15 weeks.

 

OK, GT's are rare, but I ordered 11/8 and no VIN. Where others ordered as much as a week or more after me and already have VIN's and build dates.

your not alone man i ordered 10/25 and i still dont have anything including my DORA i called my dealer on friday they said my GT was on material hold

 

I ordered 11/14 GT no IUP and still no VIN either.

 

Yes well I ordered a V6 Premium (see sig for deeds) on 9/22 & have recieved NOTHING!!!! I had to email my dealer to get even the order number. And my car is a Ford replacement so it is supossed to be in the Expodite Order System with the highest possible priority. And the guy who orders the cars told me today that the IUP hold lift was probably just for the NY region. And they are in the Memphis region. So I am still waiting.

All I know is that I will wait as long as they want to hold my order & when I DO get the car it had better NOT be a disappointment. It had better BE worth the wait. Especially since I didn't like the new car to begin with. It is growing on me but it still has a long way to go before I completely LOVE it.

Anywhoo. Sorry for the long rant. You know I think if any of us have to have therophy because of this car that Ford should get the bill.

 

Maybe the V-6 will outsell the GT by a 2-1 margin.....which I think were the original projections (approx.)

 

I am still waiting too. Ordered 11-19 No word at all from dealer. this is a tough wait!!

 

I felt the same way. I was so close in getting a 04 instead. Everyday that goes by I like my 05 more... Now I'm glad I waited !

 

If your in the northern states the dealers are receiving less allocations during the winter. I'd be willing to bet the reason some of you unlucky purchasers have no VIN's or build date is simply because the dealership you ordered from had no allocations at the time of your order and must wait for more. Sad that they are not upfront with everyone.

 

I've been waiting for any word on my GT since the 11 of November.... Dealer of course is no help.....The salesman said when I ordered by Christmas so I sold my truck so I didn't loose money trading it. I have to borrow my brother-in-laws Kia.... I'll be so ready for my GT!!!!!

 

I am sure that there will be a bias towards V6 manual cars for the next few weeks to fill that gap.

 

I ordered 29 October, and it has shipped! It is scheduled to arrive on 21 Decemebr (+/- 1 Week).

If it arrives on the 21st, that is 9 weeks from ordering to delivery.

 

Actually GT orders are doing pretty well, mine was built a week early, not complaining about that.
