Boomer, if you put 275s on say, the stock bullit rims, would the rubber be hanging over the rim too much?

I would like wider tires than the stock 235s, but how wide can you go on the stock rim before it looks dumb?

Not sure, never seen it.

I've seen pics of 275s on a stock 17x8 01 Cobra rim...and it looked alright.
You'd probably get a slight rub on the front wheel though.
I get some with 255s on a 17x9 03 Cobra rim.
Can't turn a full lock...

This is a new car, with new rims, and new underneath.
It hasn't been out yet for us to see.

275s are nice.
As for me...I like the 255s, I may just go with those.

Pete, why can the Cobra wear a set of 275's with no rub but you have a problem with 255?

...............If I order them after I get the car, and have to wait for them to come in, I can't sell my stock rubber on my tires as new. But not worth the risk of the ones I order not fitting. So, what do you recommend? ......................
Put the car up on blocks in front of the house until you get your new rims and tires. Give the car it's first taste of its lifestyle in 20 years after you've sold it because you wanted to get the 2010 Mustang, and it's been through 6 owners since then.

I want the stock 18 inch wheels. I read the stock 18's will be introduced 6 months to a year after the launch date.
I am not interested in after market's at this point.
Exactly. I do not want to buy two sets of wheels in order to get 18's. Ford Marketing's witholding the 18's, 'verts and the titanium colored paint is frustrating. :bang:
