Are we getting close to normal yet?

For those of you who have ordered your Mustang since September, how long has it been from the build date to delivery. I would like to exclude those early pre orders that some how got held up at the gate. I would think the normal or typical turn around time from build to arrival would be three to four weeks. Are we there yet?

I ordered mid July and mine was built Thursday Friday last week and has an estimated delivery date of November 16th. My VIN is 112200. Based on mine as well as some others on this board I think 4 weeks is the longest it is taking. This doesn't include the first 4 or 5 thousand cars though because as we have seen, nobody seems to know where those are or when they will arrive??? I really feel bad for those people because they were the loyal hard core fans who counted down the days and ordered on day 1 and now this is how they are rewarded.

I ordered 9/23. I have a build date of 11/22, and if Upstate is right, I should have my new baby around 12/15, taking into account the week off for TDay. It took just over 4 weeks to get my build date.

My dealer could never tell me anything new about my order.
I got all my info from Ford Customer Service. 800 392 3673
Problem was, half the time I called, I'd get some dude who had no
intention of helping me. The other half I'd get a perfectly nice
person who was like "Sure, Brian. Here's the status of your order..."
So it's hit and miss.
If you get no satisfaction, go here and fill this out. If you give them
your order #, the dealer # and the body code (e.g. T82), they should
be able to give you an update.

I placed my order on 9/23, it was built during the week of 10/25. I was told by ford to expect it 11/12 - 11/19. Talked with my dealer and it's been shipped and is now scheduled to be delivered 11/13. He said that the orders they have been getting in have usually come 1 to 2 days earlier than the schedule dates. I'll be happy just to see it in person next weekend.

I ordered 10/8, had my order pulled with "TEMP DELAY" status 10/29 and had the temp delay status removed as of today, 11/05. Hoping for a build date by the end of the week, and then the car 3 weeks from then. Is that realistic?

I ordered 9/22. My order is in Ford's expodite system. And I still have yet to recieve so much as a part number for a spark plug, much less a vin or build date. All I know is that the status is still clean, unscheduled. Although I can gurentee that my GM will be hearing from me at least once a week till they tell me it's built, bring delivered, & arrived. In that order.

Normal turnaround time on an ordered car from ford is 6-8 weeks, not 3-4 like you said. Sorry.
