I just want to know if anyone can help me out. What does the bumper to bumper 3 year warrenty cover.

I had to take mustang in because I had a slow leak in my back right tire. Of course the darn hole was in the sidewall, so I had to buy a new tire. I asked if this was covered under the bumper to bumper warrenty and he immediatly said no. It was going to cost me 179 dollars.

I had the money so I did not mind to pay but I know alot better things I can buy besides a tire for my car. :notnice:

Maybe it's covered under the warranty.
Just kidding.
Something strange here, Dealer should have explained why there was
no coverage.
Should at least be covered by the Tire Manufacturer.
They have their own warranties on their Tires that are on new Cars.
If you haven't given up the cash check it out.

Bumper to bumper warranty means that ford will go as far as they can to not fix it. You have to drag a mechanic out to hear a problem or else they think you are crazy. Warranty work is exhausting, especially if its a noise that pops up once in awhile.

I will agree with what Jon said. When I bought my '91 new many years ago I got the "extended' warranty... BIIIG mistake.

I had to take the car in because my brakes and one of my wheels was making an awful squeak. But it didn't do it all the time.

After FOUR times of taking it in it finally did it with the guy in the car. He looked at me and said, "I don't hear anything." Now we're talking a LOUD squeak. I said, "Are you joking? It's so loud it's echoing in the garage." He looked at me deadpan and just said, "I don't hear anything."

Anyway long story longer... I had to threaten to call Ford and lodge a complaint against the dealer before they would do anything. Nightmare... Night... mare.

Of course with a different dealership things might have been different, but in my experience it's usually a pain.

warranty does not include wear items like tires, break pads, belts, and hoses etc. Some extended warranties cover these items but not usually tires. Roads eat em up, and nails poke holes in em. Not fords problem. You got to deal with those sort of issues on your own. Good luck.

I'm pretty sure the warranty is explained in detail on the documentation that comes with the car.

When I replace tires on my vehicles I get the 'road hazard' protection. It usually runs about 12 bucks a tire and has paid for itself every time. They cover them for punctures, uneven wear and even damage to the sidewalls. I've had 5 or 6 tires replaced completely replaced and flats fixed in others. They even rebalance and rotate free for the life of the tires.
