Has anyone with mods were able to extended there warrenty?

Hi all
I have an 06 gt with a steeda cold air and tube with a tune. I have 35k and was thinking of going back to dealer to buy a warrenty has anyone done this? anyone know cost?

If you really want to go back to the dealer and ask to purchase the warranty, I'd put on the stock air tube/box assembly and re-tune to stock if possible. I wouldn't want to give them anything to moan about!

When I brought it for an inspection last year they noted the intake and wrote down that i was getting misfires due to it. dont know what that means. has anyone had problems that they need the warrenty, i been having companies calling me up asking 1300 for up to 100kmiles

you don't need to take it to a dealer to purchase a warranty. I did a ton of shopping, the best price for a ford warranty is here.

Put in your email, you'll get a code for a hundred bucks or so off, too. Plus they have a three month no interest card to put it on.

You can easily buy an extended warranty, even if your car is modded.

However, getting a repair covered under warranty will be difficult if an aftermarket part caused the problem at hand. Warranty coverage is easy if aftermarket parts had nothing to do with the part that failed.

Google the Moss-Magnuson Act to read the actual cause-effect relationship of mods versus warranty coverage to better understand your rights.
