Awesome. Thanks for the post. I just signed up for the Ford Racing Innovation Drive on Sept. 2nd in L.A. The event description states that attendees will be able to drive the '05 Mustang GT, 500 and Freestlye on the race track. I was able to sign up for a specific time slot, so I'm assuming I'll be able to drive the Mustang!

I think that it's common knowledge that the '05 Mustang will not be available for a drive. But you will be able to sit in it, if you're lucky.

You will be given the once-in-a-lifetime chance to drive these exciting new products on actual racetracks. This is the best way to experience the seamless shifting of the Five Hundred, the car-like ride and SUV capabilities of the Freestyle, and the second-to-none, true rear-wheel-drive Mustang GT that cranks out 300 horse power in a 3-valve engine."

I really wonder if the Internet makes us smarter, or just lazier.
CA_Stang is absolutely correct.
That website promotes 2 types of events, their "Ford Racing" and their "Innovation Drive".
If you ~read~ the description of the Innovation Drive, it tells you what vehicles you get to drive (Five Hundred, mainly, and NO Mustang!)
If you ~read~ the description of the Ford Racing event, the Mustang will be available to drive.
If you ~read~ the descriptions of the events at each location, you'll note that places like Chicago had the Innovation Drive, while L.A. is going to host a Ford Racing event.
So everyone catch their breath, ~read~ before you answer, and everything will be alright.

Hey, wait a minute. DAMMIT!!! DAMMIT!!! LOL!!! ;-0'
Yeah, baby, I gotcher huge write-up right here.
Seriously though, yes, I will give you a full review after I drive it. I'll also take my vid-cam and get my buddy to film whilst I'm driving or vice-versa (he's signed up to drive right after me). Of course, that is assuming:
A ) that they let me bring my video camera in and
B ) that they don't have the car electronically limited so that I can't peel out and such
Brad, in all seriousness, can I tell them I'm doing a legit review for your site, and drop your name and the site address? Could be good for all parties involved.

Kentucky Speedway.... a real race track. I'm in for the 2:00 pm run. I really hope I get to drive my own 05 to the track then test "abuse" the one they have there.
Evil Capri are you going?
