My husband has known me since I was 18-back in 91. Since the second he has known me, he has known I wanted a mustang. What with accumulating good jobs, and stuff(Stuff is important), and kids this has been on hold and he was all"you don't need one". I have been driving kid friendly cars- albeit 2 doors my entire adult life. I am violently anti suv and minivan. You can not take an alero and pretend its a sports car, no matter what the ins. co says.
Well With the orange 04, my quest kicked into high gear. When I noticed the 5, it kicked into overdrive. My husbands line became- You don't need a v8! What are you gonna do with it? I am NOT paying your tickets.right. I have never had one, but I have never been pulled over by a female cop either.
So I sweet talk him into renting a mustang from hertz, a bare v6 auto. He and the kids despised it for about the first 48 hours. Well LO and behold- listen ladies, He has been driving it(this is a work/pleasure roadtrip) and says to me: This thing would be a lot more fun with a manual v8 in it. He is quite taken with the 6cd in dash, and I tuned up the radio for max performance. My children adore it now, and want it yesterday. :worship:
Soooooooooo All I had to do to convince him I was not mental was get him behind the wheel. I promised him I would pay the extra $$ on the insurance and hoooorah no more v6 for me! I have also noticed how the redfire sparkles under lights, and have fallen googly eyes in love
with the color.
Now he wants the mustang asap!!!! Happy 2004 for me! I get to order it when I step foot back in alabammy.
My quest is coming to an end...
I am still torn on the cloth seats though- I want a pony running, not 80s font that says mustang over and over. IUP, Spoiler, Shaker 500, spinners, dark charcoal int,my color and sat, radio. Color is up in the air between legend lime, black and redfire, nothing on thats final until order gets submitted.
Thank you all for supporting my lunacy.

Don't lie, you know you ate it after you got it off the seat.
haha j/k
yeah gotta go leather. my wife was totally against it. but after we got the 04 she just loves it. she got some gum stuck in the cloth in our 02Altima and it took forever. well low and behold she managed to do the same in the stang. took me about 15minutes to get it completely off the leather. and nothing smells better than some fresh new cowhide!

You know you were more concerned that the gummi went uneaten more than anything.
