I agree with GTJOHN in that a $30,000 Mustang GT coupe "seems" expensive. I definitely understand the principle of inflation, better engineering and manufaturing, etc., but "bargain" to me would mean in the low-to-mid 20s rather than the mid-to-upper range.

Something I think about when comparing to the previous models was what the average age for those purchasing a GT. It seems (my impressions only) that there might be more people over 35 rather than under who would be able to afford them now vs. previously.

I remember thinking that my Mach 1 was "expensive", but I suppose it is all relative, especially when you compare to other manufacturer's performance cars and the previous Mustang. LBJay's post comparing the '97 Cobra to the '07 GT is a great example of that.
