Volume on Shaker
#1
Hi...im a 20 year old male and i have the shaker 1000 and ive heard everyone say how loud it is...and but im not so sure i think it is...but heres prob my deal. I probably turn the volume to around where there is 6 actual lines up and down (hopefully u know what im talking about)....im wondering if thats just half way and how far you can actually turn it up without blowing the speakers ...and if anyone knows how many of those lines is actually at maximum volume.... Thanks !!!!

On my 05 escape, i know that if you play a cd, and play the volume past that part you speak of, the music will get distorted .....ive read that it gets distorted due to the fact that it is protecting the speakers from blowing
Suprisingly, this does not occur when playing the radio

Just make sure you don't have the bass set near the max, make sure you have the shaker ON, and compression OFF, and you can turn the thing up way past the level you have it at.
At that level, you'll blow your ears before you blow the speakers.

It's distorting because it is out of power. This phenomenon is known as "clipping". The drive level of a CD is several magnitudes higher than the radio, that's why it is possible to overdrive the system with the CD, and less likely with the radio

Hey Joel....Congrats to you on your new Mustang. Keep it at a comfortable listening level, and then you'll be hearing all those sounds @ 50 yrs old, that you do now @ 20.........without a hearing aid

Being an x-stereo competition guy I too wish I had kept it down. I definately have lost a lot of hearing over the years so I have learned drive with the volume at a reasonable level. It is rare that I crank the radio anymore.

I had the mach 1000 audio sytem in my 03 silver GT coupe, no matter how loud, or how high my settings were, that sytem NEVER distorted.....the new system does
I have not heard the shaker 1000, but i can tell you that the mach 1000 was AWESOME
To me, that was the BEST feature of my 03
