That's not an accurate representation of Vista Blue. Just look at Redfire and Torch Red. I have seen the paint and it's going to be very similar to Sonic Blue except not as violet. It's not as light or lighter than Windveil like some guessed, but still a rich blue. I'm getting it myself and already have it ordered as the color on my 2006. Hope this helps!

geez, would it kill Ford to actually have the real car with the real color be presented in those lists. they do a really bad computer coloring job on those

It looks like they have the colors backwards. It looks like they have Vista Blue and Windveil Blue switched up on that site.

I've looked at the colors in detail. Here is why they DO NOT have the colors switched. If you look at the 05 site right next to the 06 site the Windveil Blues are exactly the same. So.....they do not have the 06 colors switched.

If they do not have the colors switched then that means that the Vista blue is lighter than the Windveil blue. That is if they have ANY simplance of the real colors. I agree that they are way off from the real colors but are you telling me that they got the entire shade of the color wrong (i.e. Vista lighter than Windveil)?

Sorry...I hope they did because I wanted a sonic blue mustang and I like that shade of blue and I would HATE to see a blue lighter than Windveil but these colors would have to be so far off they got entire shades wrong for Vista to be close to Sonic blue.

They've got to be way off. Just look at the Legend Lime. Their computer generation is much darker than it really is.

I got to see the color samples on pieces of the vehicle at Ford engineering. Having family at Ford is nice. I loved Sonic Blue and was debating on whether I should wait to get a 2006 which was better for me financially or bite the bullet and get a 2005 to get the blue I like. So it was arranged for me to see Vista Blue and then I had no hesitation waiting for 2006. I wasn't allowed to take a picture though.

But in reality think it through, why would they give the Mustang two light blues? That makes no sense at all. Windveil is about as bright as you can get.

I'm also the person that supplied Brad with the 2006 colors back in September, 2004. Some of the colors on the list have changed names but that's because I found out names like Colorado Red are the paint they actually use but marketing renames it to Torch Red when it comes to the consumer. They didn't change the name of Vista Blue, although they did consider it.

I would say between Sonic and Atlantic. Not as much violet as Sonic, darker than Atlantic.

Is it a metallic or pearl type of color, or just a solid color?

It's a deep blue in the same sense that Redfire is a deep red. Had a more metallic look to it.

I think what you are showing is Bright Atlantic Blue....here is the normal Atlantic Blue. Just thought I would add another option.

I would say richer and slightly darker than that picture. The piece I got was roughly a 8" circle so it takes some imagination to picture it on an entire vehicle.

If you are referring to the picture of the hood above, that is not Bright Atlantic blue. BAB is a lot lighter. That hood is the normal Atlantic blue being shot in bright sunlight. I wish they brought that colour back. As much as I love my Sonic Blue, I really liked my 97 GT Atlantic Blue.

Yeah...upon further inspection, you are right. And I currently have a '98 GT in Atlantic Blue. I have always really liked that color.

This is just the information I've been looking for. I've been following this site for while - mostly reading - nothing to contribute.

I want a blue mustang - but don't like the violet/purple shading of sonic. And Windveil is too light for my taste.

Now I can't wait to see Vista Blue - sounds like exactly what I've been waiting for.

Thanks KapitanGT

I knew it. I absolutely knew it! For the past three years I wanted my new car to be a rich sapphire type of blue and when I saw the Sonic Blue it just wasn't what I was looking for. I figured I'll go for the Windveil (which I do love) but you just wait and see - Ford will offer the color I reallllllly wanted in 06.
