hould i shot myself now or the sales guy who said he placed a order for me a month ago! and I had doubts he did, well i bet i was right. It doesnt take over a month to find out from ford that its balanced out! My sales guy sat on his *** and told me he placed the order and didnt til last minute when i call him to see whats up cause i havent heard back from him since. Few days later i get an email that its balanced out! Then today I call dealerships to see if they can place an order for me and i am being told the last day to order a 08 was yesterday! So i am screwed or forced to buy one of a lot that has waaay more options then i want to pay for or not the ones i want.[/quote]

Ms Saleen, I'm sorry to say, YOUR SALESPERSON IS A LYING A$$!!! Vapor IS NOT balanced out, and is still an available collor for both 2008 and 2009! He just used that as an excuse for not ordering it in time for you. What I would do is run away from this dealer AS FAST AS YOU CAN!!! If you would like, shoot me a PM with your ZIP code and the options that you want in the car, transmission, and interior color, and I can do a search for cars in your area and see if a place has one that is close to what you want.

And one point on the dealer you are dealing with. Its places and salespeople like this snook, who gives my profession (which I love) a bad rap and make people come in defensive. Why can't some places just be upfront with their customers. Sorry for the rant, but this just burns me up to no end!!!

This is me venting lol

btw....happy b-day to me, my b-day was april 12th! I've had a very bad year with my mustang luck... my new 2007 was totaled within 2 weeks of owning her to trying to replace tungsten and not being able to locate one. I picked alloy as my second choice. I drive 2 hrs to my dealership to pick one out to only find out that the ones left the dealership slapped on body kits out of my price range. To get an automatic i was stuck with one with no leather. I was able to get it out of my name into my fathers, my brother is going to be the new owner of my gt. I am driving it still til i get another.
So I was looking forward to owning a vapor gt. My sales guy wasnt helpful or honest with me so I am now not able to order one from the factory. I am not having luck locating one that I would be happy with....yet. Hopefully their is light at the end of the tunnel for me.

Has this been confirmed? If true, that sucks me for. I want to order a 2009 model, but was hoping to do it early next year (Feb. or March).

I can't believe they want to rush the '10 into production like that, especially since the current body hasn't even been in production for a full five years. Would it really kill them to wait a full year from this May (when the '09s go into production) to start the '10 models?

I mean it's not like the Mustang is instantly going to lose huge market share to the Camaro and Challenger next year...heck, we haven't even seen the final production version of the Camaro yet. I would suspect we're going to see the final production version of the Camaro and '10 Mustang at NAIAS next January, with widespread on-lot availability 6 months thereafter. That would be pretty much par for the course, with manufacturers historically announcing new models at the major auto shows in late winter/early spring and having them available for late summer/fall.

The current Mustang, in GT/CS form with HIDs, is exactly what I want, but I want keep saving cash until the end of the year. At least for my sake, I hope they keep ordering open on the '09 Mustang until next February...

But if the '10 Mustang is indeed released that early, I am curious if it will retain the things I like about the current one, like the California Special package and optional HIDs...and will there be a price increase??

The week of Memorial Day. I'm not at work, so I don't have the date infront of me.

Future collector year?

Looks like 2009 MY might be a somewhat collector item due to the short production run (8 mo.) and glass roof option. Wonder if the glass roof will be carried over to 2010? If so you might get a rare combination option/color package and hang on to it. Is Alloy still available?

that end of run is posted on BON without a reference. Could one of the dealers here put up an updated notice from ford in a .pdf for confirmation?

Since I get to order all the Mustangs at the dealership, I decided to place an order for a glass roof Vista Blue GT. Its scheduled to be built VERY SOON! Once it arrives, I'll be happy to post pics! Can't wait to see how it looks.

Thanks Indy, but its not for me. I should have been more specific. I work at a Ford dealer, if you didn't see my sig. I get to order all the Mustangs, and the 1st GT stock order I placed was for a VB GT with the glass roof, in a 5-speed.

Pricing has been out for the past several weeks. If you want something priced up, let me know the option codes and I can tell you the MSRP.
