Hey guys,

I've seen a couple cars around the city lately with their 'stang logo missing and that got me thinking about vandalism. Anyone with an experience of someone vandilizing your mustang by either keying, or pulling stuff off the grill? Just wondering about the costs about fixing this like that and if its common or not. My friend once walked out of a bar to find some drunk ripping his car bra off...not cool!

trying to remember who posted their car with the grille and mirrors ripped off. Had them replaced and then stolen again.

I've had my 97 GT egged twice, man does that ever damage the paint. So far I have been lucky, nothing has happened to my 05. Then again, it never leaves my sight

I've been egged before, I found it shortly after it was done, so I was able to wash it off. However, they threw it very hard, and it made circular markings in the clear coat. Had the whole car buffed, it worked, but then I got the car washed and I can see it again. People key my car alot, I park in the back back of parking lots, and come outside to find a shopping cart pushed into my car. And finally, last night I has some sort or fruit soda poured all over my car. People just don't respect nice things. I also feel bad for my poor little Mustang.

Somebody on this site had the chrome pony on the grill stolen relatively soon after she got the car.

Then there's the TMS Mexican member (living in Mexico) that had his grill, mirrors and badges stolen.

I live in Tucson, AZ. I saw the person egging my car, proceeded to chase them, they stopped and threw a punch, so I punched him in the face, and handcuffed him until the cops came. I didn't file a claim with my insurance, my policy doesn't like too many claims, I'll just wait until I get into an accident.

Handcuffs are legal in Arizona. I am also a certified unarmed security guard. He pretty much fell when I hit him in the face. It was all justified and legal. Self-defense, getting to hit a vandal was just and added bonus

was parked with my girl one night with my tinted windows half way up. I see two kids (im 20) which looked at least 18 or 17 behind my car kind of creeping. The get on the passenger side of the car and start signaling for somebody else to come while the hid behind my car, I thought they must have been doing something to somebodys car the i see their hands come up and in there hands are eggs two actually. My first instinct was WTF!!!!!!!! i yell that and open the door, i give chase to them but it was about 11:30 pm and i didn't know the area that well so i fell and tumbled down the stairs and they got away. I was
f*#%ing pissed. but anyway they didn't manage to do anything. thats my story

I had the pony stolen from the grille of my 02. I just ordered a new one, and stuck it back on. It cost me about 30 dollars Canadian, if I remember correctly.

Not a huge expense, but a real pita, having to take the time to order a new one, and install it.

If someone is stealing your mustang, wheels/tires, something of value while its on your property and a resonable person would think that he wouldn't be able to recover it(kid accross the street walking off with your tires wouldn't count b/c you know where he lives/ know his parents.) You have every right to use deadly force to stop him...in :worship: Texas anyways

I haven't had anything done to my mustang and I hope I don't, but on my last vehicle (2001 Dodge Ram Sport) I had the drivers window smashed out in the parking lot at work. I work night shift and around 4 am a Co-Worker came in from his lunch break after taking a nap and said that I wouldn't believe what he just saw in the parking lot. I ask him what and he stated that there were two teenages out in there looking for a flat head screw driver. I asked him what he meant and he said that he heard somebody outside of his truck window and looked up and there they were looking like he startled them. He then asked them what they were looking for and they said a flat head screw driver. I then said " Ae you stupid ? They are out there looking to steal somebody's vehicle and probably would have tried to steal your's if you weren't in it." So I went out, it was raining pretty heavy and sure enough my window was gone, but nothing was missing "Cd's, checkbook, Mag light all intact." I then came in and had the security guards call the police and went and gave my Co-Worker heck because they were looking for a screwdriver to steal my truck. At least that's what I figured being they left all fo the valuables in it. Later I heard 6 vehicles were broken into at my work that is suppose to be highly secured by guards and cameras. They also found a few bags filled with peoples car documents and other personal paper work from over 50 miles away. So I suppose I got lucky my truck wasn't stolen, but they were never caught. It took the police over 45 minutes to get there.
