Ive wondered if the magnesium could be polished, acid etched then clear powder coated for the dark gray 'halibrand' wheel look... but my favorite is still the ford blue

if I ever pull mine off, think I'll do blue powdercoat, then mill fins/name/something thru and clear powder over that...I also miss the finned look- surely a cosmetic 'fin' could be milled lightly into the surface- although with my luck, id probably program it wrong and poke a hole in it

just still bothers me ford didnt paint the aluminum blocks- the mag covers get a bit ugly, but the block is downright hideous once the white corrosion starts popping up everywhere. I sprayed our undriven '09s engine with a little wd40 annually, so far its stayed clean as just machined, no hints of corrosion, but every other one ive seen has it somewhere.

Here's a set I'm doing now. Started with a set of new, red powder coated covers I got from a forum member here. Had a paint shop make up a few cans of paint to match my Redfire color. Scuffed them up, 3 coats of high temp primer, 3 coats of paint, and 3 coats of high temp clear coat.
