Wow, forgot just how intense Grabber Orange was. Shame on me. So I guess what we're looking at is a shade closer to the 70 Boss 302's that were painted 1969 DODGE School Bus Yellow.

 

 

It is supposed to be "yellow"... i'll wait for some official details before passing judgement.

 

I'd love to see a "grabber" or brighter orange. I think the valencia color is too dull. Kind of like a basketball after you've played with it for a while. Of course, I'll reserve judgement until I see a better pic.

Awesome post, Brad (Boss 429)... So, although based on a less than spectacular photo, is it safe to say that the new Valencia is not quite the same shade as the GTX1?

And it's probably just the photo, but does anyone else think that spoiler looks like it's got a lower profile than the current one?

 

You guys are giving the photo quality a lot of credit. Its about as bad a pic as any camera made in the past 20 years could take. Still looks like chrome bullitts on a pony...[img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/33.gif[/img] Id bet its comp orange, they looked washed out like that on cloudy days.

With human naked eyes, CO looks nothing like that pic above.

You better be wrong. It better be that yellowish color the concept and GT are wearing. My wallet can't afford trading an 06 Vista Blue for an 07 Orange.

Wow. Good eyes. I agree. It could even pass for a ducktail... Almost. If it IS a V6/Pony, I wonder why on earth it has the chrome bullets. [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/what.gif[/img]

 

Spoiler does look a little different, im gonna laugh my butt off it the V6 pony gets the Shelby wing and not the GT.

I don't care how bad the spy shot is, that isn't close to CO. And, having lived with CO for over two years, I can honestly say it never looks pale and washed out on CLOUDY days. In pale light/cloudy days it looks RED ORANGE, but never pale or more yellow. The only way you'll get any yellow tint is of you shine a bright light directly at it. Such as the flash from a camera.

A BAD picture of CO will look almost red in dark conditions.

I can assure you that picture of CO is exactly what it looks like on my car everyday. See a picture taken last Thursday under Flourescent lights for another example of CO. I'm also including one

I've included pictures under flourescent conditions, the "yellow" flash effect on the left rear lower quarter, and the "cloudy day" red effect.

With all that said, I'm happy with Valencia Yellow (Orange). Defintely will be more yellow and less Reddish Orange than CO.

 

You know... the white stripes on this color might not look too bad....

If I were a car, I would marry your car-my most favorite mustang next to mine on here. I sooooooooooo love CO. Every other orange- BAH! I AM glad I didn't buy the 04 I had wanted though.

That Orange- Yuck. I hope they are just playing with paint.

Yellow just isn't ORANGE enough. (sigh)
