19" wheels are the max size for the S197. Anything bigger just looks silly.
That's about right for all cars/suv's

at least in my opinion

i don't like those rims one bit on that mustang, they just make the car look more like a rice burner than an American domestic car, those rims belong on Honda's or Acura's or Toyota's, not Mustangs.......

Maybe I'm too old but I really do NOT like the huge, "Conestoga Wagon Wheel" look that seems so popular these days.

20" rims or bigger, unless they are on a freakin' semi, are just TOO big for a car. Why not just wrap rubber bands around the huge wheels and save some air? Jeez - when you've got about 2" of sidewall, your handling and ride are gonna have maximum stinkage, quality wise.

Plus, I think they look so 'out of style' already. Just wait - someday, you'll see less and less of the huge diameter rims. Like someone else said - 18" is max that looks good on these cars.

I saw an Escalade the other day and the pimp-daddy driving it had AT LEAST 24" rims on it! It looked hideous! I could only imagine that he had platform shoes on with goldfish in the heels?

Stay with 18" diameter rims, lower the car slightly, and it will be a timeless knockout.

The 05 looks great with 20's if done with the correct tire size and drop. The BFG car looks perfect IMO. Tires not to tall or short and the stance is perfect. I understand that you old school guys like the smaller rims with taller tires though.

Yeah, too big. But isn't it amazing what a nice set of rims do for the car?

I would like the overall width to be 28". I'm sure you can use a tuner to recalibrate for a bigger diameter, so ideally i'd get 255/50/18 With BFG raised white letters
I'm sure the 28" diameter will fill the wheel wells real nice
