guys it's ok - i didn't have as much of an issue with the joke about the stereotype actually, it was more about the name calling re: hog/cow etc...hey we're all guilty of feeding into stereotypes, and most of them do grow out of some "general" truths, but it was more the using someone's physical appearance to make fun
it's all good
it's all good

I've been lurking this thread for a while.
Can I offer a thought?
Forgive her.
Imagine the unhappy person that would be behind those kinds of comments. This individual may be one of those folks who is fundamentally unhappy to their core.
Let's just be grateful that desciption does not fit us!
JMHO.

Don't let bad comments get you down. Your car is very nice.
As for Asians, I always felt that Asian women are among the most beauiful and sexy in the world.
I can't comment on asian men because I am a guy. I don't find guys attractive, you understand.

This thread is one wild trip!
Bradley, I can be pretty cynical myself at times, so I know what you mean.
Frankly, forgiveness is, I think, one of the few times when it is OK to be "selfish".
Huh?
Forgiveness is a selfish thing. We do it for us, not the other person. It means we don't have to carry any of the baggage from whatever the situation was. We can just put it down and leave it behind. If they want to carry around burdens like that, well, that's their business.
Maybe they will learn from it and have the chance to become a less miserable person.
And your car still looks gorgeous regardless!

Not at all. Just offended by the whole "DWA" stereotype, even if I no longer drive a Japanese car. Other than that, Dave posted some offensive comments towards my Mustang over at the Members' Rides: 2005+ thread. But I can forgive that. Besides, I could care less if I get no love or nanners on my V6, no matter how many mods I make or pics I take.

I have a V6, and its a great car.. When you find people who seem to have a beef with the V6, its best just ignore them.. From a performance standpoint, the 05+ V6's are a new ERA for the Mustang.. With performance that can overpower alot of older GT's, a new star is born..

As far as offensiveness, witch is NOT synonmous with female dog, so, I would love it if people wouid stop substituting that way. Because of language filters you will have to say female dog, instead of the one word equal, but here are at least one or two of us who would appreciate it.
It does blow when people act like that. I would have listened to her, and when she paused, I would have just very calmly asked to see the manager of the store. Then in front of her I would have told the manager that what she did is equivalant to at minimum slander and verbal assualt, and unless the store wants to be brought up on charges, they will remove her from the store.
Whether or not its a solid case (its not really, LOL) the manager would sooner fire her than to take the chance.
